My husband and I purchased the vehicle on 6/30 from Dan Foster and went picked it up on 07/01. On the day of purchase, we pointed out to the salesman the car is missing a tire valve cap. But when we went p Foster and went picked it up on 07/01. On the day of purchase, we pointed out to the salesman the car is missing a tire valve cap. But when we went picked it up, the cap was still missing; so we reminded him again. Instead of putting a set of genuine product on the almost $47,000 car, we got a set of black plastic ones. He claimed he didn't have a fitting set available and will order a set of OEM product for us. So we told him we want a set in metal and not plastic. On the day of pickup, I gave the salesperson a brand new set of license plates to put on the car. This included the sticker in an envelop which was shrink wrapped in plastic together with the plates. These were transferred plates from our old car. I specifically ordered a brand new set from the Secretary of State since the old set was rusted and unusable. After I came home I noticed the license plate sticker was missing. I called the salesman and he searched everywhere and couldn't find it. He then sent me a picture of the empty plastic shrink wrap which clearly showed the sticker was included with the plates. He said I will have to call Secretary of State to apply for a replacement sticker. During the whole conversation the salesman was not apologetic about what happened. He kept saying I should have put the sticker on before giving him the new plates. He also said in 18 years of his experience he has never had a customer given him a new set of plates without the sticker on it already. To be frank, I have expected a little more follow through from him on the delivery. He offered to pay for the $20 sticker replacement fee; which I don't care for and didn't get. With the new set of plates I don't expect I will have to do extra work for someone else's mistake. I was especially annoyed when he kept saying it was an unfortunate accident but it was very unusual for a customer to provide a set of plates without the sticker on one of them already. He never once admitted it was a mistake made by someone at the dealership. By the way, he never gave us a set of fitting metal valve cap. We ended up getting another set of non-fitting plastic one from him a week later. In conclusion, while the dealership has a relatively painless no-haggle one price policy but the delivery was sub-par. This experience gave us the impression that the salesman thought his job was done after the customer paid for the purchase and the delivery was not an essential part of the process. Note added on 07/13/2023: I tried for several days and weren't able to use Siri for navigation. So I Lexus Enform Guest Services. The agent told me that in order to use Siri for navigation I will need to subscribe to the Remote Services. I then asked why it worked when I was at the dealership. He said because when the car was at the dealership, it would be in demo mode and all features requiring subscription would work then. Before purchasing the car, I specifically told the salesman I prefer CarPlay instead of using the "mouse" control for navigation. Then he went on to show me how I can use Siri to navigate and change radio channels, etc. without the ever touching the "mouse" control. He never once said that these features require a subscription. To me, the salesman was not completely truthful and conveniently ignored to mention about the subscription on the services that he demoed. Initially, I can't even add my newly purchase CPO car to the Lexus App. I had to call the dealership for help. This is not the first time I have bought a vehicle from this dealership but certainly will be my last. More
