Was given a quote for $1200 to replace two 2017 Forester lower control arm bushings. These are $22 parts retail. They should not have failed at 62,000 miles. I had a service appointment for 0930 and I did arrive 2-3 minutes late and that is absolutely on me. I was informed that service would take 1 - 1.5 hours because it was busy that morning. I do not have an issue with the wait and in the past having the car serviced here has been so quick it was not worth my time to leave and come back so I had already planned on waiting at the dealership. I finally saw my car brought back up front at 1230 but my service advisor (Sergio) was not at his desk, another advisor (Dan) did get me checked out right away when he saw me come up to Sergio's desk. While he was getting my paperwork done Dan informed me that a new air filter was recommended for my car during inspection. This would have been excellent to know while the vehicle was still in the shop / bay and the work could have been done I would guess fairly quickly if parts were available. All in all I left this dealership disappointed for the first time. 3 hours after getting there and with air filters that still need to be changed. The waiting area was clean, comfortable and had plenty of snacks if desired. More
