I leased a 2025 Cadillac Optiq at Ed Morse Cadillac of Tampa and had a very disappointing experience with the finance process. I was promised several incentives at the time of negotiation — including the Costco Executive rebate, Cadillac loyalty credit, the federal $7,500 EV lease incentive, and a loaner vehicle incentive. However, my contract only shows about $4,700 in reductions with no itemization of these rebates. When I asked for a full lease worksheet showing how the deal was structured, the dealership refused to provide it. I was also told that the $7,500 EV credit was “in the residual” rather than applied as a rebate, which contradicts how this incentive is normally handled in lease programs. The gross capitalized cost included negative equity from my prior Lyriq lease, but this amount was not clearly itemized, making the numbers impossible to verify. Additional fees ($999 dealer fee and $199.75 electronic filing fee) were added without clear explanation, and I was not given a signed copy of my contract despite requesting it multiple times. I was also brought in under the impression I could move into a newer, larger vehicle for $100 less per month, but instead ended up with a $1,143 payment. When I asked for clarification, the finance manager was dismissive and told me, “it’s obvious you are not happy with your deal and you are angry,” rather than providing transparency. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to carefully review every number, demand a full lease worksheet in writing before signing, and confirm that all rebates and incentives are applied properly. Best new car buying experience, ever! Went to other dealerships near me and they kept trying to sell me something I didn't want. Had a deal worked out, paid a lot more when i finally got there for a “loaner” car and was misled about the location of the new vehicle I originally purchased. Wound up buying a loaner car and that car is in service for the first 2 weeks and im stuck with another loaner car. Trying to contact management and sales people since last week and there has been no reply. Not sure whats going on with the deal or the car as I have two or three different sets of paperwork. Finance manager Lam was rude and told me i am a liar and need to put down another $10,000 or i cannot leave with my car when i was dropping it off for its first service and was supposed to go right to the hospital for a major exam. They caused me so much stress it’s incredible. Way back in December I was quoted pricing payments and down payment and have an approval sheet from the dealership. They told me the car wasn’t in stock. Then I found out that the car was in stock after they had tried to sell me another vehicle, so I’m completely confused. I am sitting here in clermont and my new car is still in tampa and no one has contacted me. All they keep messaging me is about a survey that they want me to fill out. More
