I just recently bought my first Genesis 2015 3.8 from Jim Ellis in Atlanta. I live near Columbus Ga and I found my vehicle on cargurus with just 8k miles. When I initially inquired about the vehicle I was already scheduled to test drive for the exact same vehicle with 47k miles in Montgomery. I was contacted by someone who handles the online inquiries for Jim Ellis and was told the car was just picked up and hasn't been inspected and can't be looked at or touched. Then she advised me to go ahead and check out the one in Montgomery. That really bothered me so the next morning I emailed one of the sale associates (Darrow) and told him about the situation and asked him to inform me as soon as the vehicle is ready for sale. He called and told me that the vehicle was indeed for sale and almost sold it the day before but the lady bought something else. I told him to give me 2 hours and I'll be there. Three people tried buying the car while I was driving up. Thanks to Darrow Moore for being diligent and holding the vehicle for me. My positive experience started when I called the Jim Ellis dealership and spoke with Mylesha Lee, Client Communications Manager. Again, professional and personable throughout the entire sales process. I never felt pressured during this deal. Most importantly, he didn't try to sell me a vehicle and he was knowledgeable of the one I showed interest. He "listened" to my requirements and put a plan in place to accommodate them. I waited a couple of months for my car to arrive (due to supply and demand) despite calls from other dealerships -- simply because of the interaction I had with Darrow. He followed up with me to let me know when the car was scheduled to arrive, so that I could be prepared. Car buying can be stressful and tedious; however, this was not the case. Would I recommend working with Darrow? Absolutely! Even going through the financial portion was pleasant. Andy Hwang was also professional and patient, yet he showed a sense of urgency in closing out the financial portion of this process. I appreciated his being respectful of my time. This dealership is the BEST! We traded in our Sante Fe Sport and an Infiniti for a Palisade. But then in the middle of the process, we decided upon a Genesis V80 3.5 fully loaded. Since it took us awhile to make up our minds, I'm sure we tried their patience. But you would never have known it because everyone was just kind, considerate and professional. We dealt with the service tech, the sales manager and the general manager, all of whom just wanted us to get the 'right car' for us. What a great attitude they displayed. If I ever buy another car, it would be critical that we go back to this dealership -- that is how great they are! More
