I was there to test d Like seeing your girlfriend's parents: sometimes a good relationship not only depends on how great she is but also her family. I was there to test drive a 2010 TSX model. David was very professional and friendly. He brought up the car for us. The car was in good condition but the transmission fluid was a little dark and based on the records that it's about time to change. Typically, if you have your own mechanic, the cost might be around $50 and the price in a dealership could be double. The test drive went well and I already started thinking about my family being in the car. But when Peter said that he'd say the transmission fluid would cost $250, I knew it would be a tough game. The oil change was a big deal for me because it's directly related to the engine condition. The car's record of that was not ideal. I tried to negotiate the price lower but Peter's reply was very firm and unfriendly. Try to imagine when you have some awkward moments when you first met your girlfriend's parents. It doesn't feel good but you still love your girlfriend right? I still liked the car. So I asked the final OTD price which he printed out is $300 more than the price Jessy sent me in the email. But he refused to change it. $200 less won't make a big difference to them but it is a big difference to a student coming out of college. It was really frustrating but I knew there was nothing to do but walk away. The next morning I was told the car was sold. It was a good learning experience. Annie and David were very friendly but I didn't like Peter's attitude. Above are all personal experience and feelings. Hope this can be helpful to others. More
