After 6 weeks of looking and test driving almost every make of SUV out there, you learn to tell the difference between a salesperson who really knows their vehicles, and one who is just winging it. David was more interested in putting me in the right vehicle for me, no matter how many vehicles I had to drive before we found it. He took the time to explain everything about the car (more than once) before we drove off. He even personally did some final detailing of the vehicle while we were finalizing the paperwork. 5 Star Sales and Service The first BMW dealership I walked into as an adult looking to purchase a car was actually Performance BMW in Chapel Hill. This was about 10 years ago. The first BMW dealership I walked into as an adult looking to purchase a car was actually Performance BMW in Chapel Hill. This was about 10 years ago. My experience with them was extremely distasteful, they were rude, made offhand comments among themselves about their perceived notions that I lacked the finances to purchase a vehicle from them, and as much as I hate to pull the racism card, I've lived in the South for 20 years, and I'm familiar with it. To this date I've never stepped back in that dealership, or any Performance Brand dealer. After my experience there, I walked into Leith BMW. Completely. Different. Experience. I think the first guy I purchased from was Pat Shiel and since then I've purchased from Patrick Beach. These guys are experts, they don't make assumptions about their buyers, they don't push, they don't prod, and they make the buying experience worthwhile. I know exactly what to expect when I buy from these guys and it's why I will always continue to come back. Service has consistently been 5 stars, I've seen some negative remarks from folks and I'm sure they are one off cases or missing a fair amount of context or detail. I've been here for over a dozen service visits and my only gripe is their executive loaner fleet leaves something to be desired. The quality of service, their efforts at communication, and their willingness to make your experience comfortable are unparalleled. Update 12/26/2017: Purchased yet another vehicle from these guys, this time I worked with David Malette. What you see is what you get sales process, no hidden nonsense, no going back and forth, just the right deal off the line to get metal moving, and the right level of personal service for someone who comes in purchasing a high end luxury vehicle. If you're in the market for a BMW, don't look anywhere else. More
