David was a pleasure to do business with. From the very start he was attentive, friendly and helpful. I came to specifically look at two used WK2 models, David was able to bring me to them im From the very start he was attentive, friendly and helpful. I came to specifically look at two used WK2 models, David was able to bring me to them immediately first, and have them quickly unlocked without pushing another vehicle or trying to sell me on a price/payment. He picked up the features I was looking for through conversation and was able to point out other cars that were closest to my criteria, his suggestions felt like he understood and listened with intent with what I was looking for. He let me take as much time as I needed (I give it my own 51 point inspection). He didn't push talking about making the sale other than pointing out something I was looking at or answering a question I had about the car, it felt more like chatting with a friend while looking at a car than talking to a salesperson. You can tell he is very knowledgeable of the features and the capabilities of each individual car. After the test drive I asked about the price as the window stickers was higher than what they had online and sat down to go over the details. David was honest with the price breakdown and graciously printed a sale offer that is literally the online price tax, title, registration and dealer fee. Its exactly what you would expected to pay. A lot of dealers make it a pain to get that paper which shows exactly what they intend for you to pay, or you see a good price online and there are several thousand dollars in unremovable dealer installed features when you get to the lot. None of that nonsense here. I ended up leaving and going to another Jeep dealership to look at a comparable Jeep and before I left already knowing I would be returning to Schumacher. The next morning David was very helpful with going over a couple of the minor concerns I had, he made sure to answer every question the fullest. I noticed some notes in the CPO paperwork regarding a back ordered radio screen and David immediately printed a work order to make sure this would be included. I tested the radio screen and saw no issues so I was confused and took a second look and there's a hardly noticeable portion starting to delaminate and they were already going to replace it before its an issues. I feel like other dealerships would have sent me on my way knowing I'm going to need to buying a new screen from them in a few years. Rudy in Finance was great to work with, I felt like he was very patient with me adjusting some things a few times to see what different payments would look like. He was respectful as to not run my credit an unnecessary amount of times. They start your payment calculations with getting your personalized credit rate (which suck in '23, maybe shop for an auto loan through a credit union or your bank first to bring to finance just incase) less honest dealerships will start with presenting you "market rate" payments that are usually higher rates than your personal credit and will try to sell you on the monthly payment. Rudy was very knowledgeable of the insurance/service plans they offer and covered any questions about the plans. He did try to explain the advantages and some of the cost vs risk when I declined but at no point did I feel he was trying to make me feel guilty. The rest of finance was very smooth, no hidden fees or b.s. I transferred a tag and dealers can charge a range of like $70-400 for the stamp and they had the min fee on the first version no questions asked. After providing insurance I met back with David to wrap up the details. The Jeep was out front detailed with a full tank of gas and the few service issues already handled. David, looking out for my well-being, went out in the afternoon heat to personally make sure my tires were properly inflated which was a respectful gesture. Check this place out if they have a car you like, real honest people, no hidden markups. More
