After years of having a negative feeling about Garden State, I responded to a local ad for a Honda Odyssey, with program pricing posted in the newspaper with preferential prices and a model listed. The showed me a bunch of vans that were available at the same price. I negotiated a deal and left a deposit. I was slated to take delivery the following Monday. After discussing with my wife she reminded me that I would grow tired of the van and should get a Pilot that was a just a few extra dollars a month. I contacted my salesman David, and he handled the negotiations over the telephone. I agreed to take the Pilot a few days later. While conducting my business of a salesman, while on the road I stopped in to a few other Honda dealerships and nobody could match the deal on the car. They tried to upsell me to another version with more features. One dealer's general manager in Hackettstown told me when I go to take delivery that they would try to scam me for extra fees and I would never get the deal I was promised. He said simply walk out and he promised he would guarantee that his real deal (More expensive deal) would still be on the table. So I returned to Garden State, asked about other more equipped vehicles and they showed me a few and priced it out. Even the more expensive versions were better priced at Garden State. When I went back to do the delivery they promised me I would be out the door within 45 minutes. I went through the closing and the Finance Manager told me that the truck was great, that none of the extras Honda offers were needed unless I planned to buy the lease out at the end. The closing took 20 minutes, and that included some fun talk with the gentleman. No BS. The only dealer delays were on my end, the only pressure was put on me by myself, and the salesman, managers, the finance guys, and even the service dept personnel who delivered my plates a few weeks later were top notch. I was surprised. If I get any more Hondas I am going there no question. I was impressed and I must admit that my preconceptions were wrong. They were great !! More

Great Sales Experience David Russo was there for our 12 noon appointment. All the documentation and delivery of the car on the same day was done in a timely manner. Prior to our visit, the manager called and confirmed our meeting time. He also met with us at the closing of the deal. I had previously purchased my 2012 CRV from David Russo and was highly satisfied with his professionalism and that is why I recommended him to Walter. More

Unbeatable Pricing and a Great Experience I started my search using the internet and comparing several different offers for a 2014 Honda Accord LX CVT. I sent an email request from all the dea I started my search using the internet and comparing several different offers for a 2014 Honda Accord LX CVT. I sent an email request from all the dealers that had similar offers. One of the better offers was at Garden State Honda so I decided to stop in after making an appointment. I was introduced to David Russo who was friendly, personable, and overall a great salesperson to work with. He answered all my questions and we got straight to the point. He presented my offer to the sales manager. After some back and forth negotiations, I decided to continue shopping around. Surprisingly, David followed up with me that evening and pushed my offer to the sales manager again and this time it was accepted. We had scheduled a Tuesday appointment for me to come in, fill out paperwork, and take the car home. At the last minute, I found out that I had to work late on the Tuesday that I was supposed to pick up the car. I called David and asked if I can come in a day earlier to complete everything. He had no problems with me coming in earlier even though Garden State Honda seemed pretty busy. The rest of the paperwork and formalities was a snap. Overall, I highly recommend working with David Russo. He is knowledgeable and is willing to go to bat for the customer. More
