The pre-sales experience was pretty standard, they say what they think they need to say to make you feel good and close the sale. For my part I was happy with my trade offer and the price of the new vehic what they think they need to say to make you feel good and close the sale. For my part I was happy with my trade offer and the price of the new vehicle. I purchased a very gently used 2025 Sienna, under 5k miles. Where the experience went from standard to abysmal was a little over a week later I started the vehicle and got a check engine light. I called the dealer to see if they could read the code and was told because it was under 10k miles I had to take it to a Toyota dealership, the closest is over 45 min away. I asked if they could just read the code so I would know if it was safe to drive almost an hour away and was told it would cost $130 odd dollars. Not being willing to check the code on a $45k vehicle purchased roughly a week ago is ridiculous. They also needed to touch up some paint that was scratched while it sat on the dealer lot and I had to call back in to set that up. I confirmed with the salesman which spots I was expecting to by fixed and they didn't fix them all. Not only that but the spot they did fix looks like it was touched up with nail polish and a hair dryer. Overall, the moment I agreed to make the purchase the dealer ceased to really care about me or my time. More
