I brought my wife’s Boxster in for routine service. Oil and filter changes was all that it really needed. The car was running perfectly fine when I brought it to the dealership. The service department had my wife’s car for over a month. They couldn’t figure out why the check engine light kept coming on after the routine service. They told me to come and get it and they said that it was fixed on two separate occasions. On each of those occasions, on the ride home, the engine light came back on and I had to immediately return to the service department. Quite frankly, I am a little concerned about bringing my other Porsche to the dealership for service. I will have to do it in the off-season when I don’t really need the car because I’m afraid that they will have it for an extended period of time like they did on my wife’s car. She was really upset that she didn’t have her convertible for the entire month of August. More
