Cannot believe they sell used cars. I found the car I wanted at Benton. Exactly what I wanted. I reached out to them via email through Auto Traders, and got a stock email response from t I found the car I wanted at Benton. Exactly what I wanted. I reached out to them via email through Auto Traders, and got a stock email response from the internet manager there, Ms. Tidwell. I replied to the email asking for an "out the door" price. No response. I followed up with another email to Ms. Tidwell inquiring if she had received the earlier email, leaving my cell number, and asking her to call me to see if we could strike a deal. This time she responded asking me to come in, and asking me if I received all the information on the vehicle I needed. I replied again asking for an "out the door" price so that I could decide if it would be worth the 4 hr drive to Hoover. This time I got an email from Dennis with the OTD price I requested. The car listed online for $19,555 had ballooned to $22,999.09. I know that taxes and fees are sometimes steep, but Alabama state, county and city tax on this vehicle is $733.31; the advertised dealer fee is $599; Average Doc Prep fees run +/-$420. If I add these together, I get $21,307.31. That leaves $1,691.78 that is unaccounted for. So, I emailed Dennis back asking for some sort of buyer order breakdown. No response. I emailed Dennis again with another request of explanation for the high final sales price on the car. As of this morning, no response. I just bought the car in Jacksonville, FL.Goodbye forever, Benton. More
