Price was significantly different than quote. After finding out my car was going to need a new power steering rack during a service appointment I was appalled at the price. I said that I would hav After finding out my car was going to need a new power steering rack during a service appointment I was appalled at the price. I said that I would have the work done at any one of number of reputable repair shops in the area instead. They were willing to work with me on the price and we agreed on a price. When I picked up my car the next day I was given a bill higher than I was quoted for the services the previous day. When I was so surprised the guy said no the price I gave you yesterday was for just the steering rack but we also did x,y and z. After asking for a detailed quote from the day before I was only offered the one at the original which is what I was told was the out the door price, but apparently only for the steering rack. The dealership did work with me on the price and came down to about 200 over the previous days price. I was asked if that made things better and I told him we were closer but it is still over what I was expecting so no. This was blamed on a “miss communication.” In what industry is it acceptable to only give a quote for a portion of the work being done? More

Food is not the reason for me, it’s how I’ve been treated before and they maintain the high expectation of service for keeping your car on the road. More
