We found the 2003 Honda Odyssey on autotrader.com. That evening i called after hours and left a message for Dennis. He called me back later that evening. The next morning he emailed me with the info that he said he would. Two days later i called and we negotiated a deal. We live a 1hr. and 20mins. away so i wanted to know if it was worth driving there. When we arrived later that day, we found the van to be everything that Dennis said it was. We have been looking for a mini-van since January. I searched high and low and combed the internet daily, looking for something of quality and in our price range. A long and exhausting search!! I thought a Toyota would be out of the question financially. In one of my many searches, I happened upon Sunshine Toyota and a newly listed used Toyota (no pictures up yet). It sounded perfect, just what we were looking for, and I called them right away. I spoke to Dennis, and he was absolutely great from minute one. He was helpful, honest and forthright, and after dealing with a few different car dealers/salesmen during our search, he was a breath of fresh air. He didn't have a "sales pitch" full of pressure and words, he answered all of my many questions honestly and thoroughly. We drove to Battle Creek for a test-drive of the van, it was ready and waiting for us, as was Dennis. Matt was also there and came out to describe the various details of the van, he was also very helpful and informative. We were sold! Everything we wanted and searched for, we found. Dennis crunched some numbers and got us a deal we were happy with. Needless to say, our newused Toyota is the perfect fit for us. The kids are loving the DVD player, and I love being part of the Toyota family. I can't say enough great things about Dennis, and his no-pressure, forthright service. It's obvious he works hard for his company and equally as hard for his customers. Sunshine Toyota is truly a great place to deal with, and when the time comes, we'll definitely return to them. After dealing with a few Kalamazoo dealerships, I was starting to get very discouraged and disillusioned with car dealers in general. SO GLAD we found Sunshine. I have now purchased four vehicles from Sunshine Toyota (two used and two new). I had a wonderful experience (again) with the Sunshine Toyota Team. On the second call he a rock solid plan for me and my new car (that was on a Friday). On Monday stopped in at 2:00pm and was out on the road in my new 2011 CAMRY by 3:30pm. What wonderful experience at Sunshine Toyota of Battle Creek. It started with the phone call to Dennis. I was looking at vehicles online and the one I had found was sold already. However, Dennis took it upon himself to crunch some numbers and see if another sale would be possible on a vehicle in stock. He did not give me a lot of song and dance, just straight numbers of what we were looking at. Luckily for me the awesome sales experience did not stop there. When I arrived in Battle Creek to see the vehicle, Mr. Walters was ready to go. I was test driving the vehicle within a few minutes. After the ten minute test drive, Dennis informed me that my trade-in had been appraised and we had set a date and time for the final transaction. Right on point. The day had come - so my wife and I headed out from Grand Blanc, Michigan to Battle Creek. I believe we arrived at 11am, and were finished driving away looking for lunch at about 12pm. Everything was very fluid from the sales associate to the finance department. Usually moving as fast as they did, you would expect some changes or a "problem" associated with an unexpected cost. Not with my experience. I even enjoyed the finance department representative’s explanation on additional warranties even though I did not choose that route. It was all laid out perfectly and well understood. Everyone just had there stuff together and were ready to sell my wife and I that vehicle. Very pleased. I had met with the two different sales managers (Jeff and I believe Matt) who were very knowledgeable. They were willing to match price on tires and ready to negotiate any other issues. I say this because other dealers I have bought from, I remember the sales manager being the one who would say no, or counter offer with an inflated figure. Excellent service. Finally, when I was driving away (very satisfied) my wife had noticed a very minute issue with the windshield. I turned around and there was the Toyota staff at the door ready to hear me out on my problem. They said they would fix it for free, and I followed up with them a couple of days later. They followed through with their word and the service department was ready on the spot at 7:45 in the morning. I have a dealership here in Grand Blanc which I have purchased from, but next time I need a new Toyota, I will definitely consider the long haul to Sunshine Toyota of Battle Creek. I searched for a hybrid auto on the web to save myself time. I found the one I eventually bought at Sunshine and it appeared to be everything I was looking for. I responded to the website and was surpris time. I found the one I eventually bought at Sunshine and it appeared to be everything I was looking for. I responded to the website and was surprised when Dennis Walters emailed me in less than a day. In the past I have found dealerships not responding for 5 days. Dennis was laid back, gave me the info I needed and we set up a time to see the car on a Saturday. Dennis called and reminded me just as I asked him to do and I got there just an hour before closing on a Saturday. There was no feeling that I was keeping them there and they spent all the time I needed. I told Dennis I would think about it and call back Monday. Dennis emailed me on Sunday night asking if I had gotten the answers I needed and I asked a couple of questions and asked him to fine tune the deal. On Monday I completed the sale. Why? It is a great little car, the folks at the dealership didn't act like they were trying to shove a car at me, all my questions were answered and there was no "extras" that "slipped" in at the last minute. The leasing guy was great, no pressure and the whole thing was exactly how I wanted it to go. I have asked Dennis to find my friend a Saturn Sky now because I trust them. I traveled from Grand Rapids to Sunshine to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was as described and within a few hours the vehicle was ready for me to drive home.
