Doug was extremely helpful with the purchase of my new car. He was extremely friendly and helped make the process as easy as possible. This was my first car lease and I have already recommended Doug and the dealership to my friends. This is my first Honda, but my family has purchased 4 Honda's from Honda of Toms River. Doug and the dealership deserves all 5 stars because of their amazing customer service. The general manager came up to me to see how everything was going, which is not very common in most dealerships. Had an amazing experience and happy I leased my car from Doug Lazaro and suggest for people to ask for his help when going there. More

On Saturday 2/22/2014 I returned to Honda of Toms River for the fourth time. I return each time for the quality serviceI received the time before. Car buying always makes me a little nervous. It was a very long day but very worth it. Doug and Mike the finance manager were great and helped me out of my lease. We worked out a deal that will best benefit me. Just purchased a used 2008 Honda Accord EX-L for my son (his first car) at this dealership. The vehicle was immaculate with low mileage and a very reasonable price. I was very fortunate to have Doug Lazaro as my sales person. Doug was very personable, accommodating and a real pleasure to deal with. No hype or pressure of any sort (not his style) which I appreciated very much. The deal was cut and dry with no complications. I was in and out of the dealership quickly instead of one of those marathon days you usually encounter when buying a car. I would highly recommend this dealership and especially Doug Lazaro if you or anyone you know is in the market for a new or used car and especially a no hassle car buying experience. Bob D More

My fiancé and I recently bought a used Honda CR-V EX-L from this dealership and we were directed to Doug to help us through our evening. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and made our car shopping EX-L from this dealership and we were directed to Doug to help us through our evening. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and made our car shopping experience go very smoothly. He was able to get us a great deal on our vehicle and a great appraisal for our trade in. If anyone is looking into buying a Honda or any used car, I would highly recommend them to take a look into the dealership and ask for Doug if would like a very smooth and professional purchasing experience. When I first consulted Honda of Toms River through Edmunds.com I was originally referred to Stephanie Ericckson who was very nice on the phone and set up an appointment for me where I met Doug Lazaro. I had gone to another local dealership and to say I was unhappy is an understatement. Doug answered all of my questions with class and pristine accuracy. When I had left the first time he encouraged me to shop around some more because he was confident that I would come back to get the best deal. He was 100% correct. My wife and I just picked up our new Honda CR-V EX-L with Navigation today. It was a smooth process, there wasn't any running back and forth to the sales manager, nor do we feel we were cheated. We got a better deal than the Edmunds True Value, with an interest rate that was better than the bank we had originally consulted, and significantly better than the other Honda dealership had given us. Overall Stephanie and Doug are a great team and I really had an easy time getting a great car at a fair price. Free oil changes and a free additional warranty were also deal closers for us as well. I do a lot of traveling and wanted specific features with my Civic. Doug listened to my needs and preferences and found me the perfect fit. The first car he showed me, I bought. I shopped Civics and other cars for the past 3 months so I really knew the models/pricing well. I received dishonest service/pricing at other dealerships and have been taken advantage of in the past. So I didn't want a good deal, I wanted a great deal. I was not in a rush to buy a new car, so I was very picky with the car itself and financing. Some of other dealerships don't listen and try to put you in a car you don't really want. My credit score was OK, but not a lock for Tier 1- .9% as I fell short of the 720 average score needed. Another Honda dealer wouldn't approve me unless I put down $2500 with a higher rate and I got the best rate with no money down at HoTR. I was very satisfied. My mother in Law bought an Accord here and had a good experience as well. I would definitely recommend Doug if you are in the Market for a Honda. I will be updating another vehicle later this year from Doug! More

Doug was personable, helpful, and genuine. I could see that he really wanted to help me get the car of my choice because I really needed a new vehicle badly. Doug is outgoing, friendly and makes one feel that he really wanted to help me get the car of my choice because I really needed a new vehicle badly.
