The speed and quality of service were abysmal. Not only did they take forever, but they took forever to somehow break something that wasn’t broken; that made the wait longer and then gave me my ne Not only did they take forever, but they took forever to somehow break something that wasn’t broken; that made the wait longer and then gave me my new car without any detailing what so ever after being told it would be sent to detailing. I would rather pay extra to take my car anywhere else than deal with that ever again. More

I used to be pleased with this dealership service department until after my last oil change. I requested that they check one of the windshield washers, as one was not working. The inspection showed department until after my last oil change. I requested that they check one of the windshield washers, as one was not working. The inspection showed that the malfunctioning washer needed to be replaced at a cost of $99. I also needed new rear wheel bearings, at a cost of $1700+. They did not have the part for the washer, so I would have to come back for that…thankfully. I choked on the price of the bearings, and would have to hold off on that for the moment. I went to Aldi right after that and found that 3 quarters were missing from my “Aldi quarter case”…not a big deal, but it left me with an uneasy feeling. When I got home, I decided to try to treat the windshield washer with some vinegar, and magically, it works again…no replacement needed. Now I’m feeling more uneasy. I decided to get a second opinion on the bearings, so I went to another Subaru dealership and they also said the bearings needed replacing…this time as a cost of $1400. I asked them how they are so much less expensive than Subaru of No. Tampa & they said it’s because SNT is corporate owned & the dealership that I went to for the second opinion is privately owned. I told them I would not be going back to SNT & they said that many people have told them the same. I did get the bearings changed & my 10 year old Forester runs smooth like new again. The only reason I gave 2 stars and not one is because I like the people in the service department at Subaru of North Tampa. More
