Failed to honor Certified Warranty. I took my in for service and they found that the front lower control arm bushings were starting to tear/separate from the metal. They followed up with and email indic service and they found that the front lower control arm bushings were starting to tear/separate from the metal. They followed up with and email indicating they were in need of "urgent repair". I asked them to fix them on my warranty and they declined saying the parts had to fail before they would repair. I checked this out and found that failure on the road is very dangerous. I took my concern though the Lexus appeal process all the way to Lexus Excusive Office. They told me that it was a dealership decision and there was nothing they would do about it. This is a safety issue and the dealer is acting in bad faith. More

Visiting Santa Barbara from out of town I had my Lexus serviced at DCH. Edward my service rep offered me a nice loaner car. The service technician found a problem with the water pump and wanted to replace serviced at DCH. Edward my service rep offered me a nice loaner car. The service technician found a problem with the water pump and wanted to replace it with a new one. It was an expensive repair and needed to be approved by the warranty auditor. Edward found me a “like Kind” loaner for the weekend and I was eventually approved to replace the pump. Edward matched a price I was given to drain and replace transmission oil by an independent service.. I’m happy with the service. The service provider went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. More

Relationship on the edge I took my GS350 in for a rattle that needed attention. The finding was that the cause was centered in the roof -- "sunroof tracks and cables have loss I took my GS350 in for a rattle that needed attention. The finding was that the cause was centered in the roof -- "sunroof tracks and cables have loss of tension - recommend replacement." Estimated cost $4,500. This condition is apparently something Lexus has dealt with before and an internal service bulletin was issued on the subject. My vehicle is well under the 50,000 mile warranty on the item but apparently a few months over the 5-year time limit. I was pleased that my service rep was willing to prepare a written submission to Lexus that requests relief from this extraordinary penalty that stems from a maintenance failure in my Lexus product. I do not know what the outcome will be but I can say, unfortunately, that if I do not receive relief I will be transformed from a Lexus fan and satisfied customer to one who will likely never buy another Lexus vehicle.
