After making an appointment for car service for 9:30 am on a Monday, I went to Fette Ford Service for a 6-month oil change. I got there at 9:00 am and did not leave until 11:45 am. 2 hours and 45-minute wait time for a simple oil change, which should take no more than 30 -40 minutes. And then I ask the intake guys (the people taking the cars in for service), and nobody can give me a straight answer as to why the long wait. UNBELIEVABLE!! This will never happen again to me, I promise you that!!! More
I have been a customer with Fette for over 30 years; in that time, I have purchased or leased 10 vehicles from Fette. Sales staff was always good but have had several issues with the service department over the years. Just leased another Explorer from Fette. The salesman was new and was not very knowledgeable about the vehicle. However, my bigger complaint is that after waiting at least 1 hour and 15 minutes for the SUV to be "cleaned", upon getting the SUV home I noticed: 1. There was water/glass cleaner spots all over the inside of the front windshield. It appears that the windshield was sprayed but never wiped. 2. The windshield washer fluid was almost empty. 3. All 4 tires were very overinflated; should have been set at 33 psi, were 47 psi. 4. The carpet was not vacuumed under the floor mats. 5. There was glue residue on two windows from the information stickers. Don't know why it took so long for such an outcome. More
I would strongly advise anyone considering a used vehicle from this dealership to proceed with caution. I drove six hours to view and test drive a 2023 Honda Pilot Elite that was advertised as being in "like-new" condition. Unfortunately, that description did not match the vehicle I experienced. During the test drive, the vehicle began shaking noticeably once it exceeded 40 MPH, indicating a mechanical issue that should have been identified before being offered for sale. The dealership kept us waiting for approximately two hours while attempting to address the problem. During that time, we were left sitting in a room with very little communication. The salesperson repeatedly walked by but did not check on us, provide updates, or ask if we needed anything. We were told the issue was caused by a wheel weight that had fallen off and that the problem had been corrected. When the mechanic returned, I specifically asked him to confirm that a missing wheel weight was the cause. He stated that he could not confirm that. However, he assured us that the vehicle was fixed and that we would be happy with it. Unfortunately, when we took the vehicle out again, it exhibited the exact same shaking problem. At that point, we were informed that the vehicle would likely need to be inspected by Honda for further diagnosis. Given the condition of the vehicle and the lack of confidence in the explanation provided, we decided not to purchase it. Later that evening, I noticed the dealership had lowered the vehicle's price by another $1,000. The following day, I called to express my concerns about the experience. The receptionist stated that she was transferring me to a manager, but the call was disconnected. Since then, none of my calls appear to go through to the dealership. My concern is not simply that the vehicle had an issue—used vehicles can have problems. My concern is that a vehicle advertised as "like new" appeared to have a significant unresolved mechanical problem, and the communication and customer service throughout the process were disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership, and I would encourage potential buyers to thoroughly inspect any vehicle before making a purchase. More
