It took me over 8 hours and 2 phone calls for me to get an engine light diagnosis on my car, only to be told that I wouldn't be charged, then go back on their word and charge me... I made an appointment for 8 am and couldn't get my car until after 5pm... took a whole day off of work and everything and had to harass them for the diagnosis. For them to tell me the EXACT SAME THING I told them that O'Reileys (in 2 minutes) told me when I got there... 8 hours and 2 phone calls... and a whole day. For a diagnosis... that should have taken 2 minutes. I called back a few days later because I was taking it somewhere else to get fixed and needed more information about the diagnosis. The new place told me that information VW gave me was vague and they needed a code or more details. When I called VW they told me that the diagnosis was not annotated correctly and they have no record of it. WHAT? My mother then called and another person said they had the diagnosis sitting in front of them and they would email it to me... and then she didn't. Why aren't they telling me what is wrong with my car when I PAID FOR LITERALLY THAT?!! This is despite the fact I took my car in for a $700 full inspection a month ago and they let me leave their shop with an engine light on and a recall and did not even mention it... They are UNPROFESSIONAL, SLIMY, SNEAKY, AND LIARS. They either don't have a clue what they are doing or they are blatantly taking advantage of me. Young women like me (21 yr old college student) NEVER GO HERE and if you have to, bring your parent because they WILL take advantage of you if they can and they can tell you are unsure what you are doing. They have slated me forever in getting my car worked on, how can I trust VW again. Oh, and I still have an engine light on that will cost me over a grand to fix! More

I bought a 2017 Jetta, and I have taken it in for maintenance every 10,000 miles. I have never felt very confident with the service staff. I was not going to return for service; however, I received maintenance every 10,000 miles. I have never felt very confident with the service staff. I was not going to return for service; however, I received some special offers in the mail. I called the service department with a question, as not all of the package details were visible on the website. My question was, "Does the VW Care Plus package include a wheel alignment check and tire rotation?" Apparently, VW Service does not perform alignment checks, just the alignment service itself. I was then transferred to sales, as the service department was unable to tell me if the rotation was included in the package. The sales associate sounded as though he did not want to be bothered. I have since contacted Goodyear. They will perform a 29-point inspection of my vehicle for free. They will inspect my tires, braking system, alignment, suspension, exhaust, battery, filters, headlights, and belts. Obviously, if services need to be performed, or parts need to be replaced, I will be charged. The VW Care Plus packages would cost me $338.57 (covers 40,000 and 50,000 mile factory required maintenance). From the service descriptions that were visible, this price covers the expense of the oil/oil filter change and spark plug replacement. The rest of what is included are "Checks", so I imagine if further work or parts were necessary, I would be additionally charged. Goodyear offers 4 oil change options, ranging from $27.95-$94.95. All 4 options include free tire rotation. Not saying VW is trying to rip anyone off, but personally, I will be giving Goodyear a chance. Goodyear's customer service was great. And I just can't believe a dealership would not offer an alignment check, especially while performing tire maintenance services. More

I took my 2014 Jetta in for a diagnostic and found out that I needed a timing chain. After the repairs were finished and after I picked the car up, the car died and began leaking gas from the engine compa that I needed a timing chain. After the repairs were finished and after I picked the car up, the car died and began leaking gas from the engine compartment. Turns out the fuel line came loose from the motor. The service department fixed the issue VERY quickly and had the car ready the same morning. The service personnel gave me a business card with their cell number on it and told me that if there any more issues to contact them directly and they would correct the problem. The service personnel, acted with honesty and integrity and I could not have asked for more. If the service personnel are any indication of the rest of the staff, when I'm ready for another VW, I will definitely visit them. Nolen E. Caudell More
