Sadly when I noticed a torn driver's side front axle shaft boot, it was 300 miles over my 60K full powertrain coverage warranty, and I had to pay a deductible. It was pretty obvious that it had been leaking for some time... The passenger side front boot had let go around 47K miles (known, common issue), and was covered at 100%. They checked the other side at the time, and said it was fine. This should be a Ford recall, or they should extend the warranty on these. Not the dealers fault but they have zero leeway on full coverage. More
