Customer not satisfied I went in to get a fair price but discovered a lot of unfairness at Depaula. Saturday Jan 27th I tried to negotiate a 2016 Chevy Equinox with a price I went in to get a fair price but discovered a lot of unfairness at Depaula. Saturday Jan 27th I tried to negotiate a 2016 Chevy Equinox with a price starting at 18K. Valuation was $20k and after waiting about an hour they wouldn’t budge on price. They said there was no room to budge. It would be a loss to go $1000 more off...”we won’t discount $3000 off this vehicle” said Dan Charlton. I offered $500 more if they did $17500. Dan said no, maybe $100. It was a long process and didn’t get the vehicle. Move forward to 1/31. Check the Depaula website...2016 Blue Chevy Equinox is $17k. Are you serious. They could never discount it $3000???? I’m no scholar but $20-$17k is 3k. They could of had a 17.5k sale on Saturday but chose to say “we can’t lose money on this if we went any lower“. Well you lost a lot more money and a repeat customer. I did get a 2015 equinox from them Saturday. They took $250 off. When I spoke to the GM of sales, Mike Fountain about this situation, he said “If I was the manager handling the sale of the 2015, I wouldn’t have given you $250.” Again, what kind of service are they providing? They did not do anything to offer any resolution to the way this turned out. Be warned, if they don’t move on a price....they can, I saw it happen it a big way. More
