New found relationship Malcolm Luvene listened to me talk about what I wanted in a car. Somehow he was able to see past what I said I wanted and took a chance in directing me into what I really needed. Best decision I ever made. I absolutely love my car. Malcolm was very informative I didn't feel rushed or pushed into making a decision. George Mathews, the general manager made a comment that will forever stick with me." We are not just a car dealership we want to build relationships" I was treated with dignity and respect. George, after a consultation with Malcolm about my situation, introduced himself to me and came to me with a financial package that took all of my anxiety away with being able to afford my new vehicle and its maintenance. Shauny Luvene was patient with me in helping me to understand all of the necessary documents that were signed. I appreciate the service and a new found relationship with the Russ Darrow Honda company. More

Al Cobb the sales manager was so rude and mansplaining to me with out-sized gestures and tones, my college age daughter could not believe how he was behaving and acting towards me--he even pulled the sheet he gave me out of my hands "you don't get the sheet." When I got home I complained to general manager George Mathews who said he "wanted to make things right"-- and then sent me a price sheet that was HIGHER than the price that we agreed on and another sales person offered. WHAT? More

I did not experience any of those advertised traits, quite the opposite. While waiting for my first oil change service at Darrow last summer, I was looking seriously at buying a replacement car, a Honda. On my 2nd visit I was treated poorly; Darrow personnel were rude, offensive and indifferent. I am no longer considering Darrow-Honda for a new car of any brand they sell because of failures. Russ Darrow failed and fails: Failed to honor its own issued oil change coupon, dishonoring an appointment for service Fails to engage the customer with respect Failed or is incapable of writing a standard business letter Fails to respond or reply to written complaints Failed to follow through as promised with customer service Russ Darrow has institutional indifference. Simply said, they just don’t care about basic courtesy, respect and service. The customer is second class or disposable when [the customer] refuses to take poor treatment as the usual and customary norm [for Russ Darrow]. I rate Darrow service department as “F” ; management sales and customer service“F”. I now am someone else’s customer and happily driving a Mazda ‘3’ but will buy a Honda from someplace else. Other dealers are happy to have a new customer. Darrow management, customer service and sales did its best to be dismissive and indifferent. If I accept poor customer service without objection, I deserve it. I’m not asking for ring-kissing deference, just courtesy and respect. I don’t have to accept being treated rudely or ignored by Darrow, let alone pay for it, by being a returning customer. More
