Yesterday I came home with my 2021 Kia Seltos. Being a senior citizen and not having bought a new car in almost 13 years, Gerard Rennie helped me clear every hurdle, step by step. He was very professional, knowledgeable and caring the whole time we were there. He even made me a cup of tea, as my stomach was acting up. He answered all my questions before leaving the lot to go home and told me to come back or call him with any questions I have in the future, as the new cars have many more new bells and whistles than my old car did. I’m someone who thoroughly researches all my options regardless of how long it takes, as a result I’ve had the opportunity of dealing with a multitude of Kia dealers on the Island. In a 50 mile radius o regardless of how long it takes, as a result I’ve had the opportunity of dealing with a multitude of Kia dealers on the Island. In a 50 mile radius of my desired location in search of a very specific vehicle, I’ve had to deal with all manner of games, lies, deceit & empty promises... one dealer whom I won’t name here had the gall to have me drive 45 miles on my only day off (thinking I’m picking up the car at a prior agreed upon price) only to be jeered at and made up feel like Im “being cheap for, letting the car go over a few thousand dollars” after adamantly refusing to except a blatant bait & switch... Luckily, about a week later I had the good fortune meeting up with Mr Renny at Smithtown KIA. Finally a straight shooter who not only delivers on his EVERY word, but... this gentleman chooses to treat me like a person as opposed to just a number to make a quota. This process during a pandemic year mind you, was painstakingly Long but I was reassured through the entirety of it that things were moving along accordingly. I got a year newer than I was expecting in the exact trim make model & color I wanted. Did I mention that I didn’t have to haggle to receive a respectable price that was about 8% under MSRP. Finance guy was a breeze to deal with as he was patient answered all my questions and waited a little under 30mins for me to come through the contract and change anything we didn’t agree upon. Don’t waste your time getting robbed by the competition, head the Smithtown ask for Gerard! Tell em Scott Sent ya! More

As we had never purchased a KIA before, we were somewhat apprehensive in switching from our usual Honda and Mazda dealerships. However, judging by the reviews in several auto and consumer magazines, KIA has certainly earned a solid reputation for making quality and reliable vehicles. We found that same dedication to excellence and detail at the KIA of Smithtown dealership and with our sales agent Gerard Rennie. He was able to bring in our lease for a 2021 Sportage at the price point we needed. We enjoyed working with him and truly appreciated his professionalism and easy going demeanor. He patiently answered all of our questions and never pushed the sale on us. Our contract signing and vehicle delivery was handled efficiently and with no delays and we drove home in our new Sportage in a very reasonable amount of time. I have been purchasing cars for over 35 years and would hesitate to ever refer to the process as "smooth and easy," but this actually was a pleasant experience. I will certainly bring my future business to Gerard and Smithtown KIA. More
