Not much to write about. I looked a long time to find a Platinum trim level 2025 Explorer. On the morning of the day when I was going to pick up a New Honda Pilot, I received I looked a long time to find a Platinum trim level 2025 Explorer. On the morning of the day when I was going to pick up a New Honda Pilot, I received an email from from Ford informing me that Mac Haik Ford had just received a new 2025 Ford Explorer with the Platinum trim Ievel that we had been looking for. I phoned the dealership and they told me that there was no such vehicle available. They didn’t know what vehicle I was referring to. I told the Sales guy that I could provide him with the VIN. After searching their system for the vehicle they were convinced that they did not have this Explorer in inventory. I was really disappointed. As a result I told them that since I was going to pick up a new Honda Pilot that afternoon around four PM that they had enough time to still make a sale if they could find the vehicle. I received a callback from the Sales guy, Gerardo who said he had good news. He informed me that they had a Sales associate that had some time and he was put to the task of walking their lot trying to find the vehicle in question. Jesse, the Salesman Associate who was the first guy we talked to about an Explorer, found the vehicle. It had, miraculously, been delivered to the dealership that morning with another vehicle and these two cars were just being off-loaded from the transport vehicle. To make a long story short, I was able to negotiate a deal and we bought our new 2025 Platinum Explorer that afternoon and I canceled the Honda Pilot. As far as the good news that was pretty much the end of that. Suffice to say, if I had not looked at my emails first thing in the morning, which I rarely do, someone else would be driving this vehicle. Since this was the end of the day, we were barely able to get all of the things (like getting paperwork done, cleaning the vehicle, title transfers, licensing, writing the check, etc.) completed that needed to get done. More than a month later, we still don’t have our plates or stickers. When we were finally completed we were extremely concerned about an approaching storm that had a history of dropping large hail. Fortunately we were able to get the vehicle into our garage at exactly the same time as the 2”- 3” hail started to fall. That made us more than a little uncomfortable. The fact that the dealership took so long to complete all the after-sale items, I couldn’t believe that we were not treated better. To top this initial experience off, as we were “learning about Ford Pass” on our own, I discovered a serious quality/safety issue. The air pressure in the tires of this SUV were supposed to be 33 psi. The tires were inflated to 55-57 psi. I was told that to get a good seal on the tire beads, that some tires need to initially be set to the maximum pressure. Maximum inflation molded into the Pirelli Scorpion tires is 50 psi. Nothing was ever done about this condition when it was brought to the dealer’s attention. I received no feedback. I thought that was the idea for these surveys. More

After inquiring about a certified vehicle for sale, I was quickly contacted to determine my needs and if there were any questions that were outstanding. Because the vehicle was certified, I was able to acces quickly contacted to determine my needs and if there were any questions that were outstanding. Because the vehicle was certified, I was able to access the CarFax to determine the vehicle's history and number of owners. The mileage was higher than what I was looking for, but the service history indicated the previous owner's utilized Ford dealerships for maintenance, which was a positive. I was assigned Gerardo Holguin as the salesperson, and he was knowledgeable about the vehicle options already installed. Gerardo was quick to communicate while not being pushy at the same time. I ended up flying from Georgia to Texas to make the purchase within 2 weeks of locating the vehicle in the Mac Haik Ford Lincoln of Georgetown inventory. Because of the 13 hr driving distance, I used the option to have my vehicle delivered, and Gerardo was able to provide me a local contact at Montway Auto Transport. Gerardo notified me when the vehicle was picked up, and the Auto Transport driver delivered it 2 days later. Overall, I had a positive experience purchasing a vehicle from Mac Haik and would recommend them in the future as the entire staff worked with me as an out of state purchaser. More
