I sold my vehicle to Volkswagen of Garden Grove through the Bidbus auction platform. The initial offer was $33,400. When I arrived to complete the transaction, that offer was reduced to approximately $30,0 the Bidbus auction platform. The initial offer was $33,400. When I arrived to complete the transaction, that offer was reduced to approximately $30,000. I proceeded with the sale based on their representations about payment. I was told my check would be available on the 17th. I turned over my vehicle relying on that promise. When I followed up, I was told the check would not be released because they were still waiting for the title — a condition never communicated before I handed over my car. By that point they had already sold my vehicle to another buyer while continuing to withhold my payment. I eventually received my check without them ever having received the title — directly contradicting the reason given for the delay. When I raised these concerns publicly, the dealership's responses did not address a single fact. Instead they commented on me personally, which I found unprofessible and telling. If you are selling your vehicle here, get the final offer, payment date, and every condition for releasing your check in writing before handing over your keys. And thoroughly vet any dealership before completing a transaction through Bidbus — once your car is in their possession, you are on your own. More
