There cannot be anyone more knowledgeable about Volkswagen and their products than Greg. Not only did he know all the ins and outs of the car we intended to purchase, but he was candid about Volkwagen's history and knew all the issues I had with my '03 Passat. Given my bad experience with my Passat, I was hesitant to get another VW, but Greg quelled any apprehensions I had. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and incredibly respectful. At no time did I feel like we were being taken advantage of. When we found a better price on a similar VW at another store - he went beyond matching the price, making our car buying experience more affordable and smoother than we could have expected. Although I read some negative online experience regarding the service department, I haven't personally experienced such because the vehicle is new and hasn't needed any warranty work. George Makrigiannis accompanied me on the test drive and did the preliminary paper work. Scott Carter appraised my trade. And the entire team gave me the red carpet treatment to close the deal. Even the financing went amazing well with Kaser answering all of my questions and taking time to explain the fine print. I would not buy a VW from ANY other dealership, not just because Colonial gave me the best deal I could find, but because they treated me like a true customer not just a sales prospect. Every time I went to the dealership during subsequent visits, the entire team greeted me at the door and was genuinely invested in my satisfaction. I highly recommend this location, but specifically Greg Cohen! Last year my Mother decided she wanted to buy a new car (which for her means a ~3 year old car usually off a lease). I had been driving a leased 2012 Jetta SE that I got from Boston Volkswagen in Watertown (not a great experience there) and decided I wanted my Mom to have a good, safe car. So I called Colonial Volkswagen in Medford for their help in doing the paperwork for having my Mom purchase my car off the lease. Greg took fantastic care of her and the experience went very smoothly and exactly as promised. About a year later I decided I wanted to trade in my Mom's old car and upgrade to a new car. I spent many months researching, test driving, visiting other dealerships, etc... What I found was most of the dealerships I went to used the same tired sales tactics: high pressure, disappearing with keys during appraisal, bait and switch, etc... I also found out all I wanted was another Jetta. So I called Greg at Colonial VW just to get him to run some numbers with me over the phone (I had grown tired of going to dealerships due to the aforementioned reasons). Greg ran some numbers, called me back, and we were in the ballpark of what I was looking for. He also quietly suggested that I come in and take a test drive of the new 2014 Jetta with the new engine spec, electromechanical steering, etc... I called him a day or two later and scheduled to come in later in the evening for that test drive. I got there and sat down with him where he asked what I was looking for. We went out to the lot to look at some different trims. No pressure at all, he took a copy of my license got a plate and some keys. We sat in the car and he showed me what had changed...he then told me to drop him off at the front door and sent me out on the road by myself to test out the new Jetta. I've been to many dealerships before and never had the pleasure of a test drive to myself. I came back, told him I needed to think about it and he was completely understanding. Didn't try to stop me, didn't try to have me put down a deposit. Even had the GM come over before I left and say hello. Scott (the GM) was equally low pressure and just wanted to help however he could. The next day I went to get back a deposit I had made at a high pressure car dealership just so that I could leave. They tried throwing everything at me to not get my deposit back. So I called Scott (as Greg was out of the office) and bluntly told him what I was offered at the other dealership (for a different make & model) and where I wanted to be with the Jetta. He told me he'd make it happen and that Greg would call on his next day in. Greg called as promised and I made an appointment to see him. I must have asked him 50 questions and he patiently answered them all. Never did I feel like I was being rushed or wasting his time. When I decided to purchase he stayed equally as attentive and responsive to calls (to his personal cell phone) or emails over the next couple days. The car came in, he had it detailed and personally met me to show me around the interior again. He even helped me move things out of my old trunk, to the trunk of my new car...in the rain! I'm still not a fan of car dealerships, or car salesmen. But Greg Cohen is of a different mold. He is up front, transparent. He says what he means and means what he says. They say making it in life is all about who you know. Well I know I have a trustworthy "car guy" and that's saying a lot. I look forward to the next 2+ years of my lease, and would absolutely purchase or lease another car from Greg in the future. More

This was my first new car buying experience and Greg Cohen was fantastic from start to finish. He was an absolute wealth of knowledge about the GTI and VW's in general, provided me with a great Test Drive rout and didn't insist on joining, was not pushy on if I was just there to test drive or if I was legitimately considering buying, and once we started talking money he went above and beyond to get me the deal I was looking for. All in all an excellent experience. More

It's perfect for an older couple. Comfortable adjustable front seats, easy to get in and out of, plenty of power, nicely maneuverable and parkable in the dense urban area where we live. And it's a good looking vehicle. Just as importan as the car itself was our experience at Colonial VW. In three visits there, we dealt with Greg Cohen. He is the most knowledgeable car salesman we've dealt with in all these years, and he treated us with attentiveness and respect throughout. We recommen him and Colonial with enthusiasm. I have used Colonial and more specifically Greg Cohen for the last several years for all my automotive needs. My wife and I just took delivery of our fourth car from the colonial group ( all VW). Even for service I could easily go to my local dealership, but instead I find myself heading to Medford because the people there are a pleasure to deal with More

Greg was up front and honest in discussing my options in terms of price, trade in value, and features of the car I had chosen to lease (2010 Jetta Limited Edition). The whole process was quick and painless. Thanks, in part, to additional help from Anya. I was given the ultimate decision about making the choices I made, I never felt pressured and I never felt like I was being had or scammed. I feel like the auto industry is learning some good lessons about treating paying customers with respect now because of the economy. The last few years or so I felt like the quality and service from auto dealers and personnel has been shoddy at best. I'm happy to say that this experience has changed my mind. It was fair, honest, and friendly. I know I am in good hands and would recommend Colonial VW to family and friends. More
