I’m in the market for a new truck. Needless to say I drove almost an hour to look at a truck that I was really interested in. Initially, I wasn’t offered to test drive the truck but th Needless to say I drove almost an hour to look at a truck that I was really interested in. Initially, I wasn’t offered to test drive the truck but that was ok because after 15-20 minutes I notice the truck didn’t have certain comfort and safety features that I didn’t want to miss out on. I told the sales guy it didn’t have some of the safety/comfort features and I didn’t want to buy it and have regrets afterwards. All I had to do was leave but the internet sale manager Greg James came out to see say hi and see if what he could do anything to change my mind. I told him what the truck was lacking (I wanted certain features) and he made a remark that “do you really want to pay $7K dollars for seats with AC. I wouldn’t pay for that.” His tone and body language came off as if I annoyed him because I wouldn’t consider buying a truck that day. Again, all I had to do was just walk away without that interaction with Greg James and my day would have been ok and I might have considered doing business with that dealer if the right truck came along. I think if someone is going to pay more than $60K the buyer should be allowed to be picky with what they want in a vehicle without feeling criticized from the internet sales manager. More
