As a result, regardless of doing everything right on my end, my insurance received a claim that I now have to dispute and push back on. I am fully aware of the Release of Liability process; however, this situation should not have involved me at all after the trade-in. I have no information on who the dealership sold my vehicle to, yet I am still being drawn into the claims process due to how the paperwork was handled.
