I brought my car in because I had a screw in the tire. I was told I needed to replace the tire, which was very expensive. I was not informed that the tire I needed was exclusively available through a VW d I was told I needed to replace the tire, which was very expensive. I was not informed that the tire I needed was exclusively available through a VW dealership and wasted my time going 3 other places trying to find the tire at a better price. At the third place they person helping me noticed the screw had not actually punctured the tire and was just wedged in the tread and the tire did not need replacing at all. More

My name is Mariah Shaver and my email address is myragale79@yahoo.com, although I have nothing to really add. Mr. Delgado was very nice and clearly wanted to help me, but was probably not aware that the tire I needed could only be purchased through the dealership, which wasted my time. That seems like more of a training/management problem, unless he had been informed and just forgot, which happens to us all. I assume nobody tried to remove the screw as the tire had not lost any air and I did not ask for it to be removed and replaced at that time. I will not be returning to this dealership or service center ever again if I can help it, as my experiences overall have been bad enough that I prefer to drive much farther out of my way to go to a dealership where I feel more comfortable in the suburbs. I have exclusively driven VWs since I was 16, but this is absolutely the last one I will ever purchase because of my overall experience dealing with Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago.
