Thomas helped this experience be the least scary, least pressured, informative car buying experience I've ever had. This has been our fourth car purchase from King Windward Nissan. We’ve always had good service at this dealer and it is also very convenient for us. Our salesperson was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Nissan. We’ve always had good service at this dealer and it is also very convenient for us. Our salesperson was very pleasant and easy to talk to. He didn’t make us feel pressured in any way and answered our questions to the best of his ability. We were allowed to take the demo out on a test drive and was impressed with the Ariya. However, due to the limited availability of in-stock vehicles, we decided to order exactly what we wanted. From this point, things didn’t go so well for us. It took several weeks just to get our order in and then it was a long wait. We had to reach out to Christian several times to get the status of our order and sometimes it took awhile for him to get back to us. We put our down payment in on February 17 and was told on June 24 that the car had not been built yet. I was told on August 2 that the car was still in ‘production’ with no ETA given. At that point, we started to look at what they and other dealers had in-stock instead of continuing to wait for our vehicle to be built. We found an Ariya at King Windward in the color that we wanted but in a higher trim level that we originally wanted. After talking to Christian about this we went down to discuss in-person on August 4. We discovered that there was now a $4000 dealer markup on all of the Ariyas (including the one that we originally ordered). This was the first time that we had heard of this and we felt like we were being tricked as there was no additional markup when we put in our down payment. I tried to negotiate a lower markup, but they would not budge. Fortunately, there was a financing discount as well as a loyalty discount that dropped the price some. We ended up purchasing the vehicle but was left with a sour taste from the whole experience. We love the car but I would have appreciated more timely and better communication as well as more transparency in the purchase process. More
