Finding a good car at a great price with low miles and clean car fax in today’s used car market is like finding a unicorn. Well, after my prior 535xi finally called it quits in the repair department, I enlisted about 5 family members and friends to assist me in the arduous search process for my unicorn. When my friend sent me the listing for the 2015 BMW X5 diesel at Perkins Motors in Colorado Springs, I thought the listing must either be wrong or there was something horribly wrong with the car (I mean the listing still said photos coming soon). I figured it couldn’t hurt to inquire/ maybe check out the car while my daughter went to school, so I scheduled a test drive for the following Monday (it was Saturday and the dealership was closed Sunday’s) and within minutes, I was texted regarding the listing and scheduling. I asked for pictures and was pleasantly surprised when a shiny white BMw with no visible damage appeared on my phone. I scanned the carfax- 1 owner on Colorado with regular service and oil changes…my unicorn was revealing its horn. I arranged a test drive, scheduled someone to help pickup my oldest daughter from school and come Monday, as I began to make my way down to Colorado Springs with my infant, I was pleasantly surprised with a text from the salesman, Jacques, that would be assisting me. He was texting to confirm my test drive, introduce himself, and make sure this was in fact the car I was looking for, since it didn’t have a 3rd row (I guess someone else was looking for this car with the optional 3rd row). I assured him it was what I was looking for and began my 1.25 hour drive for a test drive. Upon arriving and being greeted, I took the unicorn out and was instantly sold. When I returned to the dealership I informed Jacques about my intended purchase and we spent the next half hour discussing specifics as well as talking about our families, kids, etc. Jacques was not only incredibly personable, but very down to earth and it was immediately obvious he was a family oriented person, which only helped confirm that my purchase at Perkins was a solid investment. After purchasing the vehicle I returned to Jacques’ desk to see about possible delivery of the vehicle since I have 2 under 2 and Jacques went above and beyond helping me coordinate delivery, and followed up via text to confirm specifics the following day. I have never had such an easy, stress free car buying experience with a truly wonderful salesman in my entire life. Thank you Jacques Perreault and thank you Perkins Motors for having such an awesome employee that helped me find my unicorn car!! More
