This was an awesome dealership for 35 yrs as a James wood location. It recently sold and became Tom Clark. This is when everything changed and it was not for the better. They carry less than half as much inventory compared to what James Wood always kept. Between myself and my wife's family we had purchased or leased over 30 vehicles from James Wood, and it was always a fair and pleasant transaction. Great pricing and no hassle deals. My deals usually consisted of a phone call letting them know what I wanted and I would show up later that day with a vehicle waiting for me to test drive. The negotiations were simple and always came to a fair agreement for all. Yesterday I went to Tom Clark to trade in two vehicles that have a combined retail value of $110,500 and their offer was for $93,000. the problem is they were trying to add in a $6,045 tax credit for my trades. This money was already my money that I paid in sales tax on the vehicles that I was trading in. So, their actual offer was really only $86.995 which would have given them a profit margin of $23,500. Then to top it off their lowest offer on the vehicle I wanted to purchase was $4,000 above several other dealers advertised prices. Jagger was a yes man that will tell you whatever you want to hear even when he knows he is wrong. Brian Sweeden treated my wife, and I like we were idiots that couldn't do simple math on the fly, and called him out on his B.S offer and he got xxxxxx. He then proceeds to get xxxxxx and make rebuttals remarks to try and insult our intelligence. At this point we gathered our keys off the desk and told them we will never do business there again. This is a prime example of why dealerships aka, "Stealerships", have a notorious image of being crooks. I will now drive 45 miles to James Wood in Decatur to continue to do business with them. More

Just purchased my 3rd vehicle in 11 years from Tom Clark - while it used to be James Wood - all the great things about it from when it was James Wood have carried over to the new name. We also appreciated how low-pressure he was, he was not that stereotypical salesman trying to force you into a deal. And Juan is still holding down the fort in finance. If you’ve purchased from JW in the past you can expect to get the same great local Denton treatment. In the future when it’s time to shop again, Tom Clark is going to be the first place I go too.
