Moved to the burg of Platts back in 1981 and started growing his beard pondering about "what ifs" while puffing on a pipe. Enjoys the community and his rapport with customers. Freely admits his customers know more about the vehicles he sells than he does. Hates snow as much as country music and wishes for global warming. Enjoys a real cigar. It is not uncommon for a customer to bring in a Connecticut shade 90+ rated cigar to him to get a "better" deal. Refers to his two wonderful children as his 401K and tries to spend every moment he is not working with his family. Once again the fine people at Huttig Nissan continue to impress. I went in for my third oil change and tire rotation and ended up leaving with a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. Kyle offered to work some num impress. I went in for my third oil change and tire rotation and ended up leaving with a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. Kyle offered to work some numbers as I had some interest in turning in my Rogue for something different and he made the entire process transparent and seamless. Kalob was excellent to work with as well as he performs his job like a well oiled machine. Jason worked with Kyle to create an offer that was amicable to my wife and I. Last but not least the divine Julie Huttig stopped by to say thanks and had a chat with us for awhile. All in all just a great overall experience. Where do I start. ..bought the car in 2018...was brand new. Things were great! After a bit there was a squeaking in the front driver side. Took it to the dealer, and it ..bought the car in 2018...was brand new. Things were great! After a bit there was a squeaking in the front driver side. Took it to the dealer, and it was "adjusted", no more sound. Sound came back 2 weeks later. This has happened continuously while owning the car. Ok, i get it dust or dirt happens in the brakes ect. This past week, the car started shifting out of overdrive all by itself. Had to have it towed 60 miles to the dealership. Thank god for AAA. Now, this is where it gets good. Huttig said they couldn't replicate it after driving it, and since it didn't throw a code, it was perfectly fine, and it must have been DRIVER ERROR. REALLY!!!! 2 different people have driven the car and had it happen. We are not stupid, we know when it shifts by itself. Please dont insult us and say we did it. After a quick google search, we are not the only ones with this issue. The transmission is slipping, yet after calling and asking what can be done, I was told that unless it does it for them, there is nothing to do but wait. So, basically wait until something really bad happens and then you can help? I live in a very remote area, this is not an option. I expected better from the "Huttig Experience". We are done. Picked up the car today after it was "fine", and with no confidence in them anymore and took it right to Della and traded it in. Will NEVER buy a Nissan again! Transmission problems are a huge issue with them. I put up with service appointments that left me waiting crazy long on the regular, but this is something that I never expected. Highly disappointed, and wont ever go back. Buyer beware. More

The dealership showed a complete lack of integrity after we discovered an error they made which left us unable to legally drive our vehicle for over a week. Instead of coming up with a solution, they spent we discovered an error they made which left us unable to legally drive our vehicle for over a week. Instead of coming up with a solution, they spent an entire day lying to us and then blaming us for not being willing to drive our paid-for vehicle without a proper temporary registration. It still took a few days before anyone stopped arguing long enough to start working toward a solution. We didn't even get a buyer's guide. When they tell you they're a family and pretend that you're part of it, they are at least telling the truth about being a family. They are very loyal to their coworkers. They will lie to cover for each other hoping that you aren't smart enough to understand how things really work. The sales manager will play the "people make mistakes" card instead of listening to you. Took him three days to finally come up with a solution that I still wasn't sure was legitimate. Luckily we didn't get pulled over while we waited for them to fix things properly. Yes, Jason, people make mistakes. Only most people have the integrity to admit them instead of lying to cover them up. You should have taken money out of Jordan's commission to compensate us for our lost time. And Jordan, you need to learn how to speak to customers without belittling them. You definitely shouldn't suggest that people break the law. You give salespeople a bad name. Julie, you need to fire Darlene for her incompetence and lack of integrity. That combination makes for a bad employee and reflects poorly on you as an owner. But hey, you got your money and clearly that's all that matters to you. Thank you for a nightmare of an experience. More
