I brought in my 2012 Audi A3 due to a diesel particulate
filter service light on , I figured why it was there I would have them take a look at the AC because it didn’t seem to be getting that cold. I was ad

I was advised the AC system was low on refrigerant and the DPF needed a forced Regeneration. Both issues were addressed and the car was ready to pick up following the weekend , which was a day longer than anticipated. When I pick up the car I questioned the service advisor about the DPF and how this issue could be prevented in the future. due to the high labor cost for forced regeneration I wanted to prevent the need to bring the car back. He advised me to just have the regular service performed, which we have been doing. His answer seemed elusive like he didn’t want to tell me , or more likely didn’t really know much about the vehicle and the issues these TDI engines have. After picking the car up it seems like nothing was done with the air conditioning ( still feels weak ). I will likely have someone else take a look at the AC. The DPF issue seems to be taken care of for now.
