I recently brought my Mercedes R350 to Mercedes-Benz of Georgetown for a front brake service along with a full vehicle inspection. The service advisor informed me that the brakes were within spec and didn’ Georgetown for a front brake service along with a full vehicle inspection. The service advisor informed me that the brakes were within spec and didn’t need replacement, and recommended several other services including an engine air filter replacement, which I approved. The visit itself went smoothly and I drove off satisfied — however, about a week or so later a check engine light appeared. I took the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Austin, where a $280 diagnostic fee confirmed the issue was traced back to an improperly seated engine filter from the Georgetown service. When I followed up with the Georgetown service manager, he acknowledged the prior service and asked me to send over the repair paperwork, indicating someone would reach out to discuss a resolution. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call or any further communication. I genuinely like this dealership and the overall experience has generally been positive, but the lack of follow-through on a quality concern tied directly to their work was disappointing and fell short of the standard I’d expect from a Mercedes-Benz service center. I had a covered warranty part go out and they were honest about my service issue and didn't try to upsell addtl services aggressively. Had my car back in a timely manner and even though the uber service was about my service issue and didn't try to upsell addtl services aggressively. Had my car back in a timely manner and even though the uber service was a mess being brought back, that wasn't their fault and I was grateful for the complementary rides home and back. More
