Background:I’ve owned several luxury cars (BMW, Lexus, Background: I’ve owned several luxury cars (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes) and this is the 4th Mercedes I’ve purchased from Boris Perelman and Aaron Schoenack Background: I’ve owned several luxury cars (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes) and this is the 4th Mercedes I’ve purchased from Boris Perelman and Aaron Schoenack. 3 cars purchased from them when they were at Feldmann Mercedes and this 4th one from Sears Imports. I consider myself an experienced customer and I know exactly what I want and I don’t waffle on what I need. So, all that generally remains are quality, add-ons, pricing and my customer experience. Quality: The car was certified pre-owned and was in great shape. In addition, since it had original factory warranty left on it, there really is no issue with the car. If anything goes wrong, Mercedes will fix it under original factory warranty, no questions asked. This is what you get with Mercedes and translates to excellent product quality, good after sales service and continued customer experience. There were a couple of scuffs I noticed and they were all taken care of as part of the sales process. Pricing and add-ons: I purchased the car at what I considered a fair price and added on wheel & tire, dent repair, maintenance and gap insurance packages. I generally purchase the same packages for obvious reasons. Wheel & tire as well as dent repair cover me for unlimited miles and 5 years. I consider gap insurance as a critical purchase, since I live in Minnesota and we get snow 7-8 months of the years, while being subject to the vicissitudes of incompetent drivers. One may not need to purchase all these packages, but I do, for every car I own. Customer experience: Sales The sales experience from Boris and Aaron was very smooth (10 out of 10). I know these guys for over a decade now and as I’ve mentioned earlier, this is the 4th Mercedes I’ve purchased from both of them. The pricing was fair, the process was painless, I literally had zero hassles with any aspect of the sales process. Boris took the time to make sure I was comfortable with purchasing the 2017 GLE 4Matic, while noting every single little thing I mentioned that needed to be fixed. Not that there were major flaws, but I’m a picky SOB…..LOL. He then fixed me up with the Detail guys to make sure every single thing was addressed. This was an excellent sales experience. Customer experience: Finance This was again a very smooth process and I think I should mention the person as well as the process, since both are worth noting. Jennifer was very nice to work with and I would rate her a 10 out of 10. She sold me the exact add-ons I wanted, provided useful advice during the financing process and since I’m familiar with how it works, it translated to a very smooth experience. I do need to mention the process as well, since Sears has a 100% electronic process. Every document was on a giant LED screen, with electronic signatures that mimic a hands-on experience without the thousands of pages of garbage I usually have had to deal with, in past car purchases. In addition, at the end, instead of a massive file, she handed me two flash drives with all the pdfs; Sears gets a 10 out of 10 from me about the completely electronic process! Customer experience: Delivery Sears has something interesting that most dealers do not; they have a delivery team that walks you through every aspect of functionality of the car. Max did a great job making sure I knew all the functionality and spent a significant amount of time, again, a 10 out of 10 delivery experience. I do appreciate this aspect of Sears; it’s a very nice touch and definitely not available at any other luxury car dealership that I know of, in Minnesota. Customer experience: Service I had a couple of questions about how the car handles. Service hooked me up with Ross and we went out for a drive to check out the driving dynamics. He’s very knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable with the car. Again, a 10 out of 10 service experience. Conclusion: I generally never hand out 10 out of 10 and I rarely write reviews unless I’m very happy or very annoyed. In this case, the people I’ve mentioned above all deserve a 10 out of 10 and I’m very happy with the purchase of my 2017 GLE 4Matic. More
