Red Carson was a great sales person. Finance guy wasn't good As typical a process that could have taken 1.5 hours took 5.25. Red was great. I knew the car I wanted to test drive and after the test drive I wanted the vehicle. Pretty easy. The dealership had to do the typical song and dance about my trade-in, with a back and forth that was obnoxious. CarMax gave me an offer of $2000 for my old Highlander. Russ Darrow was trying to give me much less. I wasn't even trying to bargain on the used car price. They had to go back and forth, and "call the GM of the dealership" to see if they could give me $2000. Please. Typical stall tactic that just makes dealing with car dealers the awful, awful experience it always is. The finance guy was typically slimy. From the first forced, fake hello, through the hour+ I had to sit in his office while he tried to sell me warranties, gap insurance, and I don't even know what else, it was awful. I also told him that I was pre-approved with my credit union several times, but was told they HAVE to run my credit and look at their financing options. WHY? Total waste of time. And I was so exhausted by the time the papers were being signed I didn't realize all the paperwork was for THEIR choice of lender instead of my credit union. Total bait-and-switch. Also, they FORCE you to sign an agreement to go to arbitration instead of filing a direct lawsuit against the dealership. This is just shady as xxxx. There is an Opt Out that you have to mail in within 30 days of buying the car. How many people forget to do this or don't even know what it means. More

Rude and Manipulative Buyer Beware!! After assisting my mom with purchasing a new car I would highly not recommend this dealership. This is a very shiesty and manipulative Buyer Beware!! After assisting my mom with purchasing a new car I would highly not recommend this dealership. This is a very shiesty and manipulative company. I’ve purchased several cars in my time and have never experienced such unprofessionalism and rudeness. My mom was brought into the finance office with Jared and expected to sign paperwork with out even being told/ explained what her monthly payment was going to be. It was then that I asked can you tell us what the monthly payment is first before she signs her life away. I must mention that my mom has excellent credit. We were not offered comparable options for financing. We were pretty much told by the sales manger and finance guy there was only one financing option available, (Nissan Financing) in which I know to be untrue from experience. After asking several questions we were then told we could look at other options for financing if we wanted. Needless to say that didn’t take place. After asking questions that any good common sense customer should do I was then told I was very AGGRESSIVE. Very bad experience with this dealership/ finance worker. I wish I would have done my homework in advance and read the other terrible reviews beforehand and eliminated this God awful experience. Save yourself some time and find a dealership that has their customer’s best interest in mind. More

Top notch service and communication I decided to visit Russ Darrow Nissan in Milwaukee to look for a new vehicle since I had excellent experiences with their service department. Their Se I decided to visit Russ Darrow Nissan in Milwaukee to look for a new vehicle since I had excellent experiences with their service department. Their Service Manager, Paul is very knowledgeable and definitely understands the customer experience is most important. My initial visit was made to test drive an Armada and get a value for my trade-in. During the visit they spent a lot of time with my wife and I after close to lay out all the options from purchase to lease. The store’s General Manager, Eric was actively involved and very friendly. After we left that night, we had a very good idea that leasing was the best option for us. We did visit other local dealerships to see what they could offer as far as price. Once I made those visits, I did get some very competitive offers but had the best experience during my visit at Russ Darrow, so I contacted them to see where they stood on a vehicle that had a few more options than those I was quoted on ($3,000 worth). I tried to contact our salesperson and Eric the General Manager called me back to let me know that he had the day off. During the call Eric spoke with me about the offers in detail and worked with me over the phone, giving me nearly the same price for the vehicle with more options that they had in their inventory. When I arrived there were no surprises and the price quoted was what I received. While I was filling out the paperwork, I was informed of the service plan options by Jerad, which was pressure free as well. This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. More

Quick, good price, and good value I was in a mission to buy a new vehicle. I am a sales man's worst nightmare to say the least. I'm a busy person, I know what I want, I know the prices, I hate gimmicks, financing tricks, etc. Previously I walked away from several dealers because I was so irritated with them. I was very happy with Russ Darrow. I walked in, pointed to the car I wanted and 3 hours later I was driving my car home in time to get the kids from school. They were very good about explaining any extras, did not get pushy when I denied several and were always polite. Since I was pressed for time, they were very adamant that any questions, concerns, other they would be happy to assist me later. I opted to skip the in-car tutorial and there is a lot of tech. The gentlemen was respectful of my time and said I could call or drop by anytime for a crash course. Definitely recommend this dealer and I think the nissans are near the top for value right now. Sales was fine; Financing was worst experience imaginable In November 2018 we purchased our first Nissan – a new 2018 Rogue – and the buying experience was a mix of awesome/great and totally dreadful. After In November 2018 we purchased our first Nissan – a new 2018 Rogue – and the buying experience was a mix of awesome/great and totally dreadful. After doing some research, test driving a few different models across other manufacturers, we narrowed our search down to the Rogue and felt comfortable with it. My sister has one, and love it – also, has had zero issues with it. We had a list of a few specific cars going into our visit, was able to quickly meet with an salesperson who was incredibly polite and helpful (Lance). We took a test drive, determined that was the car we wanted if we could agree to a price and trade-in value. The price was a minor frustration – we weren’t able to get down to the very low advertised price (because we did not meet all the discounts available), but I should have looked at the itemization beforehand, I would have caught that. Regardless, with some negotiation (I still don’t care for this), we were able to meet at a fair price – I wouldn’t say it was an out of this world, unbelievable deal, but it certainly tilted in the customers favor, so that is a plus. Then we met with a gentleman (I wish I could remember his name) to go over the features of the vehicle. He was also very polite and helpful. This is where the good experience came to a crashing halt – it was on to financing. We had to wait over an hour to even get into financing, and we soon found out why. The financing guy was one of the sleaziest salesmen we have ever encountered. He took an excessive amount of time going over extended warranties, coverages, maintenance plans, etc. And when we politely declined, he became indignant. He seemingly trashed our opinion of the car itself – we went from feeling great about our purchase to feeling like we got sold a pile of junk. He wasn’t helpful at all in terms of explaining the loan terms, we aren’t even entirely sure how we are to make our first payment – we didn’t even want to ask, as it meant he would probably keep us longer, circling back to all the add-ons we declined previously. Maybe 5-10% of our meeting was actually finance-related, the rest was explaining the extras and why we would eventually be sorry we didn’t purchase them, because Nissans apparently aren’t to be trusted. It was about an hour-long meeting, we got out of there before 11pm thankfully – we told him we had a dog to get home to and let out, and that didn’t matter to him, on went the sales-pitch. I am a reliability engineer, I understand how warranties are determined by manufacturers - no matter, he still insisted I was incorrect and that we would be sorry for not buying the extended coverage. We left angry, in our new car that we were supposed to be excited about – I have NEVER felt that way leaving a dealership in a new car. Going forward (i.e. being a return customer in a few years), we might be turned off from Nissan/Darrow entirely, and it stinks because our experience was awesome until financing. I have never purchased anything but GM, and every experience with them was a happy purchasing experience throughout (shout out to Luke at Sheboygan Chevy), and I never felt pressured to purchase, or shamed for not purchasing the add-ons. Financing people at that dealership are financing people, they made sure we understood the loan agreement, how to pay, etc - Unfortunately this is not the case at Darrow Nissan. Again, it sucks that we had this experience – we are still excited about the new Nissan Rogue (LOVE IT), but we sure wish the financing part wasn’t such a negative experience. In summary, buy elsewhere. More
