Our search has brought us to countless dealerships where we have been mostly misled and lied to. Honestly we were about ready to just give up. Then we came across John Byrne at Groganstowne in Toledo. We've never considered buying a used vehicle out of state before, but from the start John walked us seamlessly through the process. His honesty and patience were refreshing. Any question we had was quickly answered and we were never pressured. When we arrived at the dealership the vehicle was as advertised if not better! John had our paperwork ready and the vehicle ready and we were in and out even quicker than we could have imagined. Our children will be driving age before long and we will be going back to Groganstowne to let John take care of their needs when that time comes. We are absolutely customers for life! More

I actually look forward to returning I was in no hurry to purchase a vehicle for quite a few reasons; I had one that ran and car payments! But, after looking online and visiting a vari I was in no hurry to purchase a vehicle for quite a few reasons; I had one that ran and car payments! But, after looking online and visiting a variety of car lots I decided it was time to set my limits and start looking to purchase a more reliable vehicle for myself and my child. I had met with a couple different salesmen at the same dealership when I had decided to just give up. I wasn't finding what I was looking for in the price range I was most comfortable with and this was quite a big decision to make. After I had decided to give up I saw the "perfect" SUV on Grogan's Towne website. After driving through the lot and not seeing the Jeep, I decided it couldn't hurt to actually ask someone where one would find this gem. To my surprise, it was not on the lot yet. John did not give up though. He gathered quite a bit of information from me... information such as what vehicle(s) I was looking for, color, engine, price range, time frame, name and number. John promised to get back with me the following day and sure enough kept that promise! Not only did he have the oh-so-perfect Jeep I just knew I had to have.. He had a second one with even less miles to show me as well! The process was a little longer than I would say your average process would take BUT with the costumer service I received and friendliness of those I encountered, it was all worth it! When I decide to upgrade, in the very far future, I will definitely be returning. More

Great Experience remotely and in person I had the pleasure of working with John Byrne. I found the car I was looking for online through CarGurus and while reviewing the vehicle, I started a I had the pleasure of working with John Byrne. I found the car I was looking for online through CarGurus and while reviewing the vehicle, I started an online chat with John. I was looking for a specific vehicle and although I am from Indiana, approximately 2.5 hours away John did a GREAT job. Our online chat expanded to some text messages and a few calls. He told me all of the details about the car, took pictures for me prior to their own website even having them and walked me remotely through the whole process. I had the opportunity to discuss the financing options with Jamie Badger as well. Once we finalized everything I made my plans to visit the dealership which for me included a Greyhound bus trip from Indiana. Upon arriving, the car was exactly as John described, if not even better. After a test drive, John, Jamie and I finished all of the details up and I left the dealership having had a great, no pressure, stress free experience. I will definitely recommend John, Jamie and the dealership to anyone looking for a car, even if they are from Indiana, it was worth the Trip! Dan from Indiana! More

He's polite, well mannered and knows his xxxx. before I bought this car I must have stopped at 4 other dealerships and shopped around for weeks, John was the most pleasant to deal with out of every place I went to. Kia / hyaundi dealer ships were rude and pushy! Yark sells garbage with lack luster service. If you want a good deal and a good experience come visit my man John Byrne if you don't you'll regret it for the next 4-7 years Ps Jamie was my finance lady - she was amazing as well, no B.S and very friendly I'd give these guys 10 stars if I could. More

Amazing, Painless, Honest, and Friendly I had been car shopping for about 3 months. I am from Grand Rapids, MI and was a bit nervous at first about shopping for a car almost 3 hours away fro I had been car shopping for about 3 months. I am from Grand Rapids, MI and was a bit nervous at first about shopping for a car almost 3 hours away from home. After having a bad experience with a local dealer in GR, I was BLOWN away with John and Bri at Grogan's Towne. I have purchased many vehicles locally and I have to say that purchasing from Grogan's Towne, was by far my best experience ever. The staff was friendly, fair, honest, and helpful. Once I told John what I wanted and my price range, the rest was simple. The staff is very passionate about making the customer experience an amazing one. I had asked that everything be ready so that my wife and daughter that drove to pick it up, could be in and out. My wife was able to test drive the car, sign the papers, and head back home with the car in less than an hour. My friends asked why I went so far to get a car, you simply can't beat the prices at Grogan's Towne. They were $2,000-$3,000 less than similar vehicles in the Grand Rapids area. This was my first time buying a car out of state and with Grogan's Towne, but, it will not be the last. They have earned a customer for life.... A completely different car-buying experience We had a GREAT experience with everyone at Grogan’s Towne—above and beyond anything we expected buying a used minivan. We were at the end of our lease We had a GREAT experience with everyone at Grogan’s Towne—above and beyond anything we expected buying a used minivan. We were at the end of our lease so we needed to find our next vehicle fast. Ideally we were hoping to find a Town and Country that was a few years old with lower miles. Our budget was tight, so even though Grogan’s Towne was over an hour away from us, they had a van that looked like a good deal so we decided to make the trip. We are so glad we did. Although the vehicle we originally saw online had already been sold, John Byrne went to work to find us another that met our criteria and that we could afford. When that process took longer than we hoped and our lease car had to be turned in, he loaned us a car off the lot to use! John and his associate, Todd Kauffman, searched high and low and ultimately found us a van that was in great shape, had low miles, and that we could afford—a used car buyer’s dream. I’ll admit that I usually hate just everything to do with leasing or buying cars. I hate the struggle to stay within the family’s budget and still find a vehicle that will be reliable and comfortable. I especially hate the feeling of having to be on guard against potentially dishonest or manipulative salespeople. At Grogan’s Towne, however, each person with whom we interacted gave us outstanding service—FAR beyond anything we expected. Even people who weren’t directly involved with our sale were very friendly and helpful (thanks, Chris Aughney!). Rather than having to be on guard, we felt we had experts in our corner who were working in our best interests. It was a completely different car-buying experience, and we know we will be back to Grogan’s Towne for all our future vehicles. More

Horrible Experience This dealership made my first vehicle purchase a miserable experience. I loved the car and it sold itself. That is the only reason I bought the vehicl This dealership made my first vehicle purchase a miserable experience. I loved the car and it sold itself. That is the only reason I bought the vehicle from this place. Here is why it was so miserable: - Used car sales manager, John, very bare minimum service. Got the feeling we were more of a bother than a customer. He was covering for Bob because Bob apparently hurt his knee or something. - Finance guy, Kevin, had less of a personality than a wet rag. He was more worried about getting off work than giving us good service. - After signing, we were just handed the keys. John did not even walk us out to the vehicle to go over anything. My husband had to show me where it was. My husband doesn't even work there! - When we walked out to the delivery area, they were smoking right next to vehicles. My vehicle windows were down and I'm not a smoker. I was not pleased. - I know nothing about my car because I wasn't shown ANY of the features. So now I have to look in the manual, online, etc. - Was told the title would be switched to MI by the salesman but when we were in the finance office, Kevin stated that is not true. With it being my first time purchasing a vehicle I was clueless and confused. Kevin just stated something like sometimes Bob just talks and it's not always accurate. No apology was offered for misinforming us or anything. - Took the vehicle home with a 1/4 tank of gas! They can't afford to fill the gas tank when I just gave them $17,000???? - Whatever detail shop they use is pathetic. We could have detailed it better ourselves. - Still waiting on my title...... and my temp tag has about split in half. - When I called to discuss my issues with Bob, he rushed the call and basically said because he wasn't able to come in it's not his issue. Not his exact words but that is the feeling I got by the tone he used and how I was cut off multiple times mid sentence. He said if I came down he would give me a fill up. I told him no as I am not close to the dealership. So his solution was to fill up the tank and he would mail me a check. You'd think after everything they could at least offer to send a porter to take my vehicle to fill it up. Why do I have to do the leg work for their mistake???? - I didn't even get to get out that the vehicle wasn't even gone over with me. - There were NO apologies given. Just a, "fill up, send me the receipt, I want to make you happy, ok" and then that was it. Again, horrible experience and customer service by everyone we encountered. I used to work for a crappy dealership and even they delivered a vehicle with a full tank of gas and the salesman walked you out to your vehicle after signing to shake your hand and answer any questions. More
