My opinion It is my opinion that the quality of service I received at Long Island city was exceptional. If if I had any questions they answered in a timely manne It is my opinion that the quality of service I received at Long Island city was exceptional. I would certainly direct any prospective customers to Long Island city Hyundai in the near future. More

BUYERS BEWARE- DO YOUR HOMEWORK August 2017: We had done a great deal of research before shopping for a 2014 Santa Fe Limited and visited several dealerships around CT where we are August 2017: We had done a great deal of research before shopping for a 2014 Santa Fe Limited and visited several dealerships around CT where we are from but crossed each one off our list for one reason or another.. We found an ad for one such vehicle at HLIC at what appeared to be a fair price. Considering the distance (a nearly 3-hour drive) I called to get more specific information about the vehicle, newer photos, and a full disclosure of any fees that might apply above the listed price. Over a 2-day period, I dealt with Patricia, Miriam, and Megan by phone and email. I never did receive a reply to my email regarding the specific questions listed above prior to my appointment. I made it repeatedly clear about the distance and effort involved in coming to see the car and that if everything worked out, we'd be taking that specific car in a cash sale. Upon arriving, I was treated to valet parking, and met my salesman, John, who was a perfect gentleman. That is the end of my positive comments. We test drove the vehicle and it was to my liking. We went in to start the deal and I was told that because the vehicle was Certified (which was a big selling point for us) it would incur an additional cost of just under $3000 above the listed price, in addition to $910 dealer prep fees, plus the typical tax/title/registration fees. Further, as I was being told about all the fee increases- after making a 3-hour drive in good faith, and seeking full disclosure of those exact fees before coming, I was then told the sale of that vehicle was already in process with another customer! What else could be worse? I would say read the fine print before you shop, but that's not the issue- full disclosure isn't listed anywhere in specific terms, even according to the salesman. It's all wrapped up in "Dealer fees". None of this needed to happen this way. I (thought) I did my homework to be responsible and got stiffed anyway and lost an entire day on a farce of a deal. I called the dealership on the way home and after speaking to Patricia about what happened, not even an apology for anything. I guess it's just "too bad for you Mr. Honest Customer from CT. I'm not responsible for any of this, I'm not a salesperson". I even called back to speak to the MOD and never got a call back- I suppose I'm not surprised. Needless to say, I'm not a customer, and maybe it's a blessing because if this is how much they care about honest people- from out of state- making a huge effort to shop at their dealership, they don't deserve my business. This was a real shame and a very unpleasant experience. More

4th car our family purchased from Hyundai LIC My wife and I have been dealing with John Parhami since 2007. He is an excellent salesman, and the reason my wife purchased her first car from him 10 My wife and I have been dealing with John Parhami since 2007. He is an excellent salesman, and the reason my wife purchased her first car from him 10 years ago is that he was not pushy and aggressive, as many car salesmen are. He was helpful, and understanding, We always wind up meeting in the middle as far as what the dealership wants to sell the car for and what we want to pay, so everyone comes out happy. The showroom is very nice, and they have added a lounge with a movie theater like screen and seats, plus a popcorn machine while you wait. Everyone else seems friendly enough, although we mainly dealt with John. More
