I gave the ratings as great in all areas because of the quality of service received at Thomas and from Johnathan. If I could have given a higher rating I would. Johnathan goes above and beyond to help me f quality of service received at Thomas and from Johnathan. If I could have given a higher rating I would. Johnathan goes above and beyond to help me find a car that is what I want, what will work best with my budget, and then to understand how to work all the features of the vehicle. Johnathan is always friendly and willing to help with whatever questions I have or whatever I need. I choose Thomas because of the friendly and warm atmosphere. Whether it is your first visit or your tenth visit.. you feel like part of the Thomas family. In addition, it is important to me that I can trust Thomas and know that when I am looking for a car..no one is going to try to talk me into buying something I cannot afford. I think it is an awesome experience to have a dealership who will ask what you payment range is and then try to work with that figure and still get you what you want. I cannot say enough about Thomas subaru and Johnathan Loughrie... I will never buy a car anywhere else. More

The people at Thomas have My husband and I have been dealing w/ Thomas Subaru for some years now. This is the third Subaru that we have bought! The people at Thomas have been exceptionable! I said to my husband how, for a workplace, the staff are all so upbeat. They all smile and say hello or offer help. This is the second time that we have dealt w/ Jonathan when buying a car. He is not only a good salesman, but you can tell that he is a good person, it just shines through and that is what I really like. He is friendly, personable, professional and low pressure. For me, low pressure counts; I'm turned off by too much high pressure in a salesperson. I like Jonathans' low key, intelligent approach. We like that we have this dealership in our area where we can get sales and service. We also know Walt Winebrenner who works in service and it's nice to have a local mechanic from whom we can obtain info on "under the hood" questions. We were planning to buy another Forester and we were waiting for the 2012 model to come out. Jonathan was keeping us posted on their arrival. When we test drove the Forester, though, we just didn't seem as keen on it as we thought we would. In fact, we liked our '08 better when all was said and done. So we decided to drive the Outback. What a difference! We had know idea! So we were getting a great trade-in on our Forester and we were able to afford the Outback. [I had always held back on the Outback because I thought it was too pricey for us]. Really, for a few thousand more , we are getting so much more car! My husband said he wanted leather interior and I wanted a white car. There were certain things my husband wanted on the body and we also got all the neat "gadgetry" like navigation, XM radio, Bluetooth, that neat back-up screen which my grandson likes too! Seriously, the safety features are really nice. I'm still learning things about the car. So Jonathan was really helpful w/ the transaction and Mr. Files took care of the paperwork very efficiently, we got our tags and insurance and everything taken care of at the dealership. It was a smooth transition to our new car and I was thrilled to have it for Christmas! So thank you all for a great experience and keep up the good work! Sincerely, Kathy and David Cox P.S. This is my third purchase from Thomas Subaru. Before I went to this dealership I had shopped around at many others. None of them seemed to want to negotiate with me. Thomas’s sales representative, Johna went to this dealership I had shopped around at many others. None of them seemed to want to negotiate with me. Thomas’s sales representative, Johnathan Loughrie was more than happy to work with me and listen to my needs. He quickly looked over my finances and showed me models that I could afford. He didn’t try to push more expensive models. I recently took my car in for a recall. I told them I might be thinking about possibly trading up to a newer Forester. Johnathan made that upgrade an actuality. He even bought me lunch while I waited for everything to be finalized. He made the transition from my 2009 model to a 2012 model a breeze. Thomas’s even transferred the warranty I had on my other car to the new one. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a new or used car. I am extremely satisfied with my dealings with Thomas Subaru and plan to go there again when I decide to purchase another vehicle in the future. Sincerely James J Broderick More

My wife and I needed to part with our two older vehicles and move to a newer vehicle that would serve us well in the snowy mountains of Western Maryland. We did a great deal of research and decided on a Sub and move to a newer vehicle that would serve us well in the snowy mountains of Western Maryland. We did a great deal of research and decided on a Subaru Forester as the best fit for our family's needs. I called Thomas Subaru in Cumberland, MD and spoke with Johnathan Loughrie. I had many questions for Johnathan and he was very patient in answering every one. He also promptly returned every call for the times I had left a voice mail for him. We initially were looking at purchasing a brand new base model Forester. Upon our visit to the dealership, Johnathan made us aware of a used 2009 model that had very low miles, in great condition, and also had a Subaru Certified warranty included. Given the low mileage, condition, extra features, price, and great warranty, this 2009 model turned out to be a nicer vehicle to us than a new base model would have been. We also were able to stay within our price range which was an important part of the decision. Johnathan also knew that we were hoping to purchase a Subaru Forester prior to the winter weather setting in. He made us aware that the plant where Foresters are made in Japan was impacted by the Japan earthquake in March 2011. To wait for a new model would mean delivery would not occur until at least the end of December at the earliest. His recommendation of the used 2009 model worked out to be the best solution for us, all things considered. Johnathan's customer service was outstanding and refreshing. We never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. We had purchased a new Hyundai Accent from this Thomas dealership in 2003 and the difference in the improved customer service between then and now was obvious. When we bought the car in 2003, Thomas sales consultants were still selling on commission and had different management at the time. That purchase felt quite rushed and lacked the personal touch that Johnathan delivered. The salesperson we dealt with in 2003 (who is no longer with the dealership) didn't offer us a test drive of any vehicle on the lot. Johnathan, on the other hand, told us that we could test drive any vehicle on the lot if we wished. We also worked with Brett Files on the financing end of the purchase. He was a pleasure to work with and made the process a smooth one. There are obvious changes for the better that have been made at this Thomas dealership since 2003. Kudos to Johnathan, the management and team for making customer satisfaction their top priority. More

I was in the market for a used car. I looked at many cars on several web sites. I narrowed my list to four cars located at Thomas. I called Johnathan and told him I was undecided and he suggested that I stop on several web sites. I narrowed my list to four cars located at Thomas. The following afternoon I returned to pick up my car, the WRX. I got a great car with a low interest rate. It really was a no hassle, pleasent experiance buying my Subaru from Johnathan. More

When researching the 2012 Impreza, I contacted three dealerships for information, including Thomas Subaru. One dealer made one reply and never communicated again. Another dealer seemed more interested in sending me advertisements for another car brand. Thomas Subaru, through the efforts of Mr. Mace, maintained communication with me, and was the only dealer to let me know that pre-ordering was available. When I visited, Mr. Mace introduced me to Mr. Loughrie who gave me all the information about the new Impreza that Subaru had given to him. After he explained their no haggle policy, I felt comfortable ordering the new Impreza sight unseen. Mr Loughrie notified me when Subaru stopped shipment of most of their new cars the same morning he found out. He had told me that if I found myself without a car before my new one came in, Thomas Subaru would provide me with a loaner. Since I had sold my car the day before the stop shipment occurred, he was true to his word and provided me with a car for the two weeks it took for my new car to arrive. On the day I picked up my new car, it was the easiest, most stress free car purchase I've ever made. Mr. Loughrie handled his work in a very friendly and professional manner, and Mr. Files was also very friendly and professional when we completed the financing paper work. I will happily return to Thomas Subaru/Hyundai the next time I'm looking to make a car purchase, and I've already told others to consider them when looking for a car. More

My entire experience at Thomas was wonderful. The employees from Johnathan to the person who valued my trade in to the signing the paperwork down to the sweet guy that did the final preperation on my employees from Johnathan to the person who valued my trade in to the signing the paperwork down to the sweet guy that did the final preperation on my car before I drove it off the lot were all truly a part of the fun of buying a car. There was never any pressure, they all were very informative and answered every question I needed answered. I bought a used Jeep about 5 yrs ago from Thomas in Bedford, now a practically new used Kia here and I will definately buy from Thomas again next time I am looking for a vehicles. More
