I special ordered a 2026 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible from Duval Ford after spending nearly two months searching dealership inventory online across Charleston, Atlanta, Southeast Georgia, and Convertible from Duval Ford after spending nearly two months searching dealership inventory online across Charleston, Atlanta, Southeast Georgia, and Jacksonville. During that search, Duval Ford stood out because their Internet Manager was professional, responsive, and willing to answer my questions through email, phone calls, and text messages. Twenty-two minutes after I emailed Duval Ford about ordering a 2026 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible with a 6-speed manual transmission in Grabber Blue Metallic paint, Jonathan Barber replied, “Thank you for your reach out on the Ford Mustang with the specific build. I do not have one like that, but I am happy to get it built for you and then you can just wait for it to come in.” That response stood in sharp contrast to another dealership, where I was told that “the owner does not want anything to do with your car” because it was Grabber Blue Metallic with a manual transmission. To me, that highlighted the difference between a dealership focused on customer service and one focused primarily on the business risk of ordering a vehicle that was not already on the dealership floorplan. The ordering process was easy and included a refundable deposit. Communication with Jonathan stayed consistent, pricing was transparent, and any manufacturer pricing discounts in effect at the time of delivery will be applied to the purchase. At delivery, I had an engaging car-enthusiast discussion with Finance Manager Rick Garcia about manufacturer-planned maintenance, lubricant specifications, and Duval Ford’s commitment to customer service. Duval Ford earned my business because they were willing to do what other dealerships were not: listen to the customer, answer questions, and make the special-order process straightforward. From the first email through delivery, the experience reflected a dealership culture focused on customer service, and I would highly recommend Duval Ford to anyone considering a new Ford purchase.
