WE WERE BAIT AND SWITCHED. My fiance and I were seeking to downsize by trading in our two vehicles for a new Elantra. We brought our vehicles to Headquarter Hyundai where we in My fiance and I were seeking to downsize by trading in our two vehicles for a new Elantra. We brought our vehicles to Headquarter Hyundai where we initially received laughable offers. We were told by the salesperson that all trade in values could be price matched and she confirmed it was verified by her manager. My fiance and I then visited several dealerships to obtain documentation of a fair offer for our vehicles to bring back to Hyundai for matching as we still wanted to do business with them. We scheduled an appointment and drove to Hyundai a few days later with updated offers in hand. As soon as we arrived and handed them to the salesperson, her manager emerged to tell us they, in fact, would not match the trade in offers we received (which were about $10k more total than Hyundai's offer, just as a frame of reference for how low Hyundai's offer was). We left extremely disappointed and ended up finding a new Elantra for the price we wanted with fair offers for our vehicles at a different Hyundai dealership. More
