Our salesman, Scott Childs, is probably the most professional car salesman we've ever met. We have even referred our friends and family to Murdock, and they have bought at least three more vehicles. Our repeat business can, in my experience, be attributed to one common thing: Murdock really knows what customer service means, and understands how important it is that the customer is always right! There's never any pressure, and no games or hassles. Even the owner (Blake) and managers we've dealt with are great! I really can't say that with most other dealerships I've visited. Thank you, Murdock, for making the car buying experience enjoyable, as it should be. More

Amended Review, Surprised and Impressed. I have to amend this review, previously it was listed as "Dishonest Service Department, Disrespectful Employees.". After I wrote the review (See Below I have to amend this review, previously it was listed as "Dishonest Service Department, Disrespectful Employees.". After I wrote the review (See Below), I was contacted by Mr. Blake Murdock, he is 1 of the owners of Murdock Hyundai. We discussed why I had given his dealrship such a poor review, he seemed genuinely concerned about the issues I had listed in my review. Not too long after we spoke on the telephone, I received a letter from Mr. Murdock, in it was a check to pay for a free oil and filter change, and a voucher that could be redeemed for a free 30,000 mile service. On 8 August 2014 I took the car in for the 30,000 mile service, everything was GREAT. Because Mr. Murdock showed me that he cares, I will now reccomend this dealership to others, and may consider doing business wth Murdock Hyundai in the future, When we bought this car from Murdock Hyundai we thought that we had found a dealership that we could purchase from again. Then I took the car in for service and the service advisor lied to me about repairs that the car needed; he told me that the brakes were bad and needed to be replaced. I could not believe that the brakes could be bad at 24,000 miles, and most of the miles were freeway miles. I told the service advisor that I would take care of the brakes, when I checked the brakes there was more than 2/3rds of the pads still there. I gave Murdock Hyundai a bad review and was contacted by a disrespectful dealership employee named Stuart Jack. He did damage control and them promised me a free oil change. When I came in to get an oil change it was not free, he had just told me something to smooth things over. I filed a complaint with Hyundai motors and they just blew me off. I sent a complaint to Murdock Hyundai and they responded by asking me what kind of car I was interested in. I did the instant messaging with Murdock Hyundai and asked to have 1 of the owners contact me, they never did, given the integrity shown by this dealership, I was not surprised. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, what ever happened to honesty and integrity? On top of all of this we have to watch their ridiculous ads on television, the owners act like they are your best friend, then lie to you about the condition of your car; this type of behavior is a learned behavior, but is reprehensible. We will never set foot on any Murdock dealership again. Bob and Kristi Thrasher More

This is my 5th urchase from the Murdock 's. What an amazing experience I have had. The wealth of knowledge & superior customer service, has brought me back time & time again. I am so grateful to the ex amazing experience I have had. The wealth of knowledge & superior customer service, has brought me back time & time again. I am so grateful to the excellent staff, especially Ryan Short, Bryan Orr & Jordan Peterson, for arrangement & delivery of the Black 2008 Hyundai Sonata. They know the meaning of "No Regrets" & deliver the most incredible customer service, not just one time but 5 times. Not many dealerships would sent you home in a beatiful 2013 Sonata - while your car is waiting to be delivered. I feel like I am family & I know the friendships I have made in this purchase, will last a lifetime. Anyone having doubts about buying a car...."You have got to go see them" & indeed experience where "U R the Heart of their business". We left Murdock Hyundai, the "No Regrets Dealer" full of regrets and very disappointed with the poor customer service we received: 1- The price they tried to sale us our car for was $3,000 Dealer" full of regrets and very disappointed with the poor customer service we received: 1- The price they tried to sale us our car for was $3,000 MORE than the price they were advertising online for the exact same car. When we confronted the dealer about the discrepancy they had plenty of excuses and were very quick to place the blame on a computer glitch that changed the pricing without them knowing about it and the guy that was in charge was on a company cruise and didnt tell anyone about what he did. The excuse they provided us did NOT match the facts of what really happened as we found the price on multiple websites long before the time they alleged that the glitch mysteriously changed the price. We were really glad that we did our research or else we would have paid thousands more than we needed to. This was very shady. 2- Once we finally agreed to purchase the car, we discussed finance options and the dealership came out of the gates with a 4.9% interest rate. We told them that was really high and we were sure they could do better than that. They came back to us with 3.9% and said that was the absolute best rate out there and that the sales people really had to pull some strings to get us that rate. We told them that was still way too high and were sure that our credit union, Mountain America, probably had better rates. They said they worked with Mtn. America all the time and also checked all the other lenders, but 3.9% was the best. Again, we went home, logged on to the Mtn. America website and saw the auto rate was 2.74%. When we went back to the dealership the next day and shared that information, our sales consultant said she never told us that 3.9% was the best rate out there and that we must have misunderstood her, but yet that was the exact rate that was written up on the sales paperwork presented to us by the dealership. 3- Lynn, our sales consultant, was very patient, gave us a lot of her time and really tried to help us find the car we were looking for. She was however, very unprepared and very unclear of her facts on the car that she sold us. Countless time she mentioned one of the best features of the car was the eco boost option that we could activate to help get better gas mileage...she sold and sold and sold the feature, yet when we looked at the car and asked her to show us how to use the eco boost, she was unable to locate it in the car. She assured us it was there and that we just needed to read the owner's manual. Turns out the car did NOT even have the eco boost feature. She also talked up the blue tooth buttons on the steering wheel and the convenience of being able to use them to operate the phone. Same deal as the eco boost...we asked to see how the feature worked, she couldnt find the buttons and it turned out it was not on the car. Lynn also gave us the wrong Carfax report for our car, was unsure of the pricing of the vehicles and constantly had to check with her manager for clarification and information. And we only got one key to our car because she couldnt find the other. 4- The worst part of Murdock was after the hours and hours of haggling back and forth, including having the sales manager tell us that the price we were getting was the absolute best and the dealership was simply "breaking even" on the deal (highly doubtful), and finally signing all of the paperwork, Murdcok still had one last trick up their sleeve...they were kind enough to give us our new car with LESS THAN A QUARTER TANK OF GAS. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Apparently the policy of this NO Regrets dealer is to reward their customers for spending $30,000 on a car by requiring them to stop on the way home from the dealership and purchase fuel because the dealership was too cheap to fill up the tank. Once we got home, we also found that the back windshield wiper was broken and the USB phone charger didnt work. We called the service dept, explained the problem, they told us to bring the car right in. We asked if we needed an appt. they said no, they would take care of us as soon as we got there. We drove to the dealership 45 minutes away and as soon as we got there, they told us they were swamped and wouldnt be able to get to us. We mentioned that we had called ahead, were told we didnt need an appt and that is why we came in. They said we could leave the car and they would get to it, but they didnt have a loaner vehicle for us, so we would have to find a ride home. So...we took our car back home, made a formal appointment and now I get to drive back into the dealership again to have them fix problems. One thing we want to make clear is that we absolutely love our new car...it is safe, in good condition and we look forward to driving it for years to come. However, we are absolutely disgusted with the car buying experience at Murdock Hyundai and we would never buy a car from them again. Frankly, had we been able to find our same car at any other place, we certainly would have bought it there. In fact, during the 3 day return period we had after buying our car, we searched high and low all across the state for another car like ours. Had we found one, we would have returned our car to Murdock and purchased it somewhere else. The service at Murdock Hyundai is appalling. The company lived up to every negative stereotype of car sales and we walked away full of regrets. The whole deal with the basically empty gas tank was a perfect example of their disregard for the customer and we were so disappointed with all of the excuses and shady dealings by the dealership. I don’t like being the person that writes ugly reviews against a company, this is actually my first time, but, I feel it is time to say something publicly. Murdock Hyundai in Murray, UT is one of the mos against a company, this is actually my first time, but, I feel it is time to say something publicly. Murdock Hyundai in Murray, UT is one of the most unethical business’s I have ever done business with. I have bought many cars in my lifetime, and only two of them used, this car being one of them, and my experience with Murdock is by far the worst. I brought my concerns to their attention this week after several years of being angry with the unethical practices of their sales personal during the sale of my car, and the very poor practices of their service department. What brought me to my decision to take my concerns back to the general manager, Blake Murdock, was when looking at a new vehicle the dealership brought it to my attention the car I had bought from Murdock had a dirty carfax. A hard lesson learned, out of my nativity did not believe a reputable dealership could or would sell a car with a dirty carfax. At no time was this information offered to me. I was willing to give them the opportunity to make this up to me; seeing how I am now stuck with a car I will never be able to sell. Once again, they went back and forth over $20-$25 difference in my car payment. They attempted to convince me they were losing money, expecting me to put money out of my pocket. How insulting to continue to make me pay more when this time around they should take a lose…I already have! I’m not asking for a Free car, only a fair and honest deal. They were so cheap and crooked when I purchased my car, they wouldn’t throw in floor mats (there were none), and come to find out, too late I might add; I didn’t have a jack to fix a flat tire on my car! After hours of pressure selling, by several different sales personal, and my needing a new vehicle I agreed to buy my 2008 Elantra. I recall the sales persons going back and forth over $15-$20 a month difference in my payment, I finally gave in and wrote a check to get my payments where I felt comfortable. Only later to realize the “free oil change maintenance” for the next several years had been written into my contract. I was now paying for those “free” services with interest. To add insult to injury, each time I have had to take my car into their service department it has always taken 2, and even 3, yes 3 hours for an oil change, while I sat in their waiting area. I had a new battery put in and the next day it wasn’t working. I took it into the dealer, and the service manager stated I had put in a battery that wasn’t factory and he would have to take it out and charge me $330!!! I took the battery back to the auto store I bought it from; they contacted another Hyundai dealership and found it was a simple fix, no additional cost! I could go on and on about the poor and unethical business practices of this dealership, but I think you have a good idea of how they operate. I would say consumer beware! I intend to post this in as many media forums available; as well I will be reaching out to the consumer protection group. Murdock Hyundai lives up to the reputation we all have of a car, worse yet, a used car salesman…Their slogan is “The No regret dealer”…really??? More

Our (my family and myself) experience at the Murdock Hyundai dealership is easily the best we've had during our entire time searching for a car. Greg Gibb (our primary sales consultant) was extremely ac Hyundai dealership is easily the best we've had during our entire time searching for a car. Greg Gibb (our primary sales consultant) was extremely accommodating and helpful. We truly feel that he genuinely cared about our desires and concerns with the car (Hyundai Veloster, Ultra Black!) and didn't try to just hawk one off to us. In choosing the car to test drive, and eventually buy, he let me decide on which one I liked most rather than shoving me into the most expensive one (which many other dealerships have oft tried - sometimes before I got out of my own vehicle!). When we finally decided on getting the car, he helped us in getting a great deal, and helped with lots of requests for quotes. We had a much more limited time with K. Blake Murdock and Bryan Orr, but they were both friendly and the former also seemed eager to help us get a great deal while the latter explained the finance stuff lucidly. Ultimately, they're service has been the best we have encountered throughout much of our car searching. More
