I recently purchased a 2024 Range Rover from Step One GMC Cadillac Fort Walton Beach, and I had an outstanding experience with Karen, Johnny, and General Sales Manager Jason Alston. From start to finish, Karen was professional, patient, and very easy to work with. She kept me updated by text and phone, sent clear numbers up front, and had everything prepared before I made the trip in from out of town. When I arrived, the vehicle was exactly as described and there were no surprises. Johnny in finance did an excellent job coordinating my Bank of America business auto loan. He respected that I already had my own financing in place and made the process smooth, efficient, and pressure-free. Everything was explained clearly, and the paperwork matched exactly what we had discussed. Jason’s leadership and support were also evident throughout the process. The whole team worked together to make this a straightforward, transparent, and pleasant purchase. After having more complicated experiences at other dealerships, this was a refreshing change. I would absolutely recommend Karen, Johnny, and Jason at Step One GMC Cadillac Fort Walton Beach to anyone looking for a high-end vehicle and a professional, honest buying experience. More

I met Karen a week ago when I called into the dealership and needed help with finding the right vehicle for my situation. From the initial call until the deal was done, my wife and I were very impressed wit and needed help with finding the right vehicle for my situation. From the initial call until the deal was done, my wife and I were very impressed with how she made us feel important. The same was not the case with Greg Orr Porsche of Destin. We were not born in this country and feel like we inconvenienced Porsche by purchasing their overpriced Macan. Now we feel great trading that in for an Escalade, especially after Porsche said they couldn’t make a deal happen with anything on their lot. It’s a night and day difference with the experience at both of these high end dealerships. One says we weren’t credit worthy. But Cadillac makes it happen. One says we are too upside down in a bad deal they helped create, but Cadillac made it better now. One says you signed a 5,000 mile per lease, too bad.....but Cadillac ownership already makes it better. It makes sense now with the brown lives matter issues being brought to light. My wife is considered a minority but at Porsche we felt it and were often reminded of our place. At Cadillac, we felt like we mattered even with a “brown” wife. Shame on Greg Orr. Never again will we subject ourselves to that, including our lease turn in “disappearing” for over a month because Orr Porsche didn’t turn it in properly and that affected my credit report as well as my next deal from happening with Porsche. The minute I spoke to Karen, Jared, and then Kim to wrap it up, we leave with something much better than anything Porsche could have put on the table anyway. Suddenly we were credit worthy, wife has vehicle of her dreams, and we aren’t told that car is too expensive for you or out of your range. Thank you to Cadillac for royal treatment, which they have obviously perfected. Step One in particular has been a phenomenal brand to purchase a vehicle from and the after purchase experience is ever better. Thank you for making my brown wife’s life matter and not telling her that’s out of our price range. As it turns out for Rick Hart, Kevin Campbell and Greg Orr, shame on you and don’t size up your clientele in your stereotypical judgement meter. It will always be wrong. More importantly, the Cadillac ride, performance, comfort, value, exclusivity, and and overall expectations were far exceeded. Great job GMC / Cadillac of Fort Walton Beach and Step One Automotive Group. As for “German Engineering”, never again. Thank you steering me away after 1 1/2 years of the worst automotive experience in 50 years of life. Onward. Great job Karen and team. Also thanks to Jason who is also a sales consultant here at Cadillac and we appreciated him sharing his love and patronage of our brand. We own 4 Smashburger locations in Florida.
