We recently brought our 2018 Explorer in for routine
service, as well as to address an issue where the vehicle would randomly unlock itself — whether in use or parked. The technician determined that the
service, as well as to address an issue where the vehicle would randomly unlock itself — whether in use or parked. The technician determined that the wireless keypad was faulty. Kevin explained that we had two options: replace the keypad or simply disconnect it, and either option would resolve the issue. Since replacing it came with a higher cost, I opted to disconnect it for now.
What I didn’t know at the time was that Kevin had taken the initiative to reach out to Ford on our behalf — and thanks to his efforts, Ford agreed to cover the cost of a new keypad under warranty.
Kevin has been our service advisor for all of our Ford vehicles over the years, and I can honestly say there’s no one I trust more with our cars. He truly goes above and beyond, always taking pride in providing an exceptional service experience.
