Travelled 3 1/2 hours to see the vehicle. Specifically asked if there were any known issues with the vehicle before leaving. Reply was none known. Looked over the vehicle and found it to be in good condition. Bought the vehicle, and on the way home found out the air conditioning doesn’t work (it was a cool day). Huh. Shame on me for not confirming that the air blew cold. Shame on them for allowing it to be sold that way, especially after their “rigorous” multi-point inspection. They weren’t too rigorous with testing the cooling system. Of course, this $50k car came with no warranty due to its age, so now I’m stuck footing the bill for a new compressor unit (had it checked today). How much do you think a compressor unit costs on a Porsche? A LOT OF MONEY, and the most likely reason they “overlooked” that little defect instead of fixing it. How does a multi-point inspection not catch an inoperable air conditioning unit? It doesn’t. Love the car, salesman was great and courteous. Don’t care for the shady non-disclosure of the air conditioner. If you go here, do the multi-point inspection yourself and don’t leave it to their crackpot team of repair people. More
