Terrible Experience Both Used and New Vehicle Purchase My family bought a used 2012 Jeep Liberty with 57000 miles at a fair price. Unfortunately that vehicle experienced major engine failure no more than My family bought a used 2012 Jeep Liberty with 57000 miles at a fair price. Unfortunately that vehicle experienced major engine failure no more than 600 miles after purchasing from Tyson and was considered totaled based on the estimate to fix. This event happened while driving down I55 at 60mph and luckily no one was hurt. Being stuck between a rock and a hard place we offered to come in and purchase a new vehicle from their lot if we can work something out with the Jeep, this transaction did not end up in our favor. We had to spend hours trying to get a reasonable offer on the Jeep, which once reached, still left a balance that caused negative equity on our new loan. In part of our experience they made us feel bad about not making any money on the used Jeep and apparently not even making money on the new vehicle which we were paying list price. Not to mention they continually leaned on the fact we bought that Jeep as-is and just had no clue what they were going to do with said vehicle. Tyson has been in business for 30 years but apparently does not make money on vehicle sales or know what to do with a vehicle that still has some value? Take it for what you will but we do not recommend their business. When we are ready to buy again it won’t be from Tyson! More
