Bitter sweet I love the new car and I had a positive experience with our salesperson. However, this wound of costing me significantly more than what I wanted to s I love the new car and I had a positive experience with our salesperson. However, this wound of costing me significantly more than what I wanted to spend and I left the dealership feeling like I just got punched in the stomach. The monthly lease price was already more than what I wanted to spend by about $50/month, but I decided that I could swallow the difference, especially because my annual insurance premium decreased with the new car. However, the day I came to pick up the car, I was hit with all of your warranty packages, together with a "hard sell" of "if you don't take out the warranty, you'll have to pay for brakes and rotors and tires, all of which will need to be replaced within your 3 years lease and it could cost you thousands upon thousands of dollars," essentially scaring me into the purchase. I was told that I had to commit to the purchase then and there which gave me little time to do some research and make sure I actually needed the warranty coverage. I ultimately purchased part of the warranty out of the fear of having to spend "thousands upon thousands of dollars" later on, particularly since I was told that Audi parts are "quite expensive." I walked out paying over $200/month more than what I had wanted to spend. I would have appreciated an up front conversation at the very beginning about the warranty packages and what is recommended, so that I could have determined what I could afford, and perhaps my car choice would have been different, knowing that I was going to be spending $150/month over the actual lease price. I felt cornered and forced into the warranty programs and really did not like how I felt walking out of the dealership, which is the first time that's ever happened to me when purchasing/leasing a new car. More
