Ricardo Riojas was A DREAM to work with. I am an Oklahoma customer who Ricardo made feel like the Red River was just across the street! This was my first visit to Crest Cars Volvo and my first purchase of a Volvo. I came in after researching several cars online. I had already tested a Subaru and was looking for something with more luxury purchase of a Volvo. I came in after researching several cars online. I had already tested a Subaru and was looking for something with more luxury features. The Volvo XC40 was the next car I tested. Crest had the interior color and exterior color combination I wanted. After a test drive, I priced it without a trade-in. The price given was comparable to what I was seeing on other Volvo dealer websites. After a little negotiation, I was given a reasonable price for my trade-in, so I accepted it to save the hassle of selling to an individual. I was not prepared for the extended protection plans offered to me during the Financing process. I wish that I had taken the time to understand what was available —- and why it was needed —- before I got to that point in the process. Locke was patient in answering my many questions, but I still felt pressure to make a decision I was not fully prepared to make. Nevertheless, I purchased one plan that I believe covers technology failures not covered by the Volvo warranty. I declined a plan that I believe covers road hazard damages. I’m still wondering if I made the correct decision on that one. Even after going to the Volvo website and searching for and finding that topic, I still don’t know. It’s been many years since I purchased a new vehicle and much has changed. I don’t know that any car manufacturer does a better job of informing prospective buyers of the value of or need for these plans. Automakers, in general, have greatly improved the transparency in purchasing a car, but in not this particular area. Also, a group of dealer ad ons was added to the MSRP (understandable) but not clearly set out for the online shopper (not understandable.) In summary, I am satisfied with my purchase. And as soon as I memorize the Owners Manual I’m sure I will love my new car. I look forward to enjoying your lovely customer lounge when I come in for service. Every employee I interacted with was courteous and helpful. More
