I called in before I went to the dealership and told Lucy I would be stopping by to look at a 2012 VW Passat. I had been looking for this model car for a while and I was extremely interested in this particu I would be stopping by to look at a 2012 VW Passat. I had been looking for this model car for a while and I was extremely interested in this particular one. When I got to the dealership Lucy met me outside with keys in hand and sent me for a test drive. That was great! When I returned from the test drive there were 5 sales consultants on the floor and two customers in the show room. Lucy was working with both myself and the other customer while the rest of the sales personnel sat around doing nothing. Lucy would go over to the other customers and then come back to me. This continued for about a half hour. Finally Lucy had my trade-in appraised and I was happy with the value they attached to it. I probably spent a total of 15 mins with Lucy at this point. I then asked some questions about the car and it was discovered that the second set of keys was missing as well as the floor mats and the owners manual. There was also a bulb out inside the cabin of the car. I expressed to Lucy that I would really like to have those things and she checked with the manager to see if these concerns could be addressed. She returned and said that if I bought the car tonight he would take care of it. After Lucy asked for the sale I told her I had to call my wife first. I stepped outside and spoke with my wife. We decided to think it over for the night and I told Lucy I would let her know tomorrow. The floor manager I think his name is Greg Coby was listening and shook his head no. I asked if the deal would still be good tomorrow and Lucy told me that it would not. I didn't ask for any changes on the price of the car even though it was about $500 overpriced. I didn't ask for any more on the trade. All I asked for were the things that were supposed to come with the car. I asked for a copy of the offer and when Lucy asked the manager if she could give it to me he said "I don't care, I'm not going to do it tomorrow" meaning he would not honor the deal tomorrow. I approached Greg and told him how disappointed I was with the lack of customer service. he sat at his desk with his arms crossed and said "That's fine, I gave you everything you asked for so I don't care" or something to that effect. I then thanked him for wasting my time and left the showroom. Lucy followed me out and apologized and attempted to make excuses for the manager. I told her he lost the sale for her and he is probably losing more sales. I was prepared to hand over a check for the car. I didn't need financing from the dealer and it would have been a very easy sale for Germain. I think it is reasonable to expect a person to want to talk over a purchase of this size with their spouse. Our main concern was trying to decide whether we wanted to buy this car or return to the dealership the next day to purchase a new Camry. I have never been treated with such disrespect and especially not by a sales department I was trying to do business with. Now they will not be selling us the 2012 Passat or a new Camry. There are plenty of dealerships in the area and we will certainly no t be giving this one our money. As a sales person myself I understand the value of professionalism and making a client feel comfortable with a purchase. This dealership practices predatory sales techniques and obviously missed the class on professionalism. More

We visited Germain after a terrible first experience at another dealer, where we were held hostage for over an hour without our own car keys. We walked in and were enthusiastically greeted by Lucy Green, another dealer, where we were held hostage for over an hour without our own car keys. We walked in and were enthusiastically greeted by Lucy Green, who sat down with us, heard what vehicles we were interested in, looked up what they had available on her computer, told us the price and grabbed keys for 3 vehicles. We went out to the lot, looked at the interior of one, like it and drove it. She owned a vehicle of this type (Prius hybrid) and was able to tell us all about how it worked, and its features as we drove. We then looked at the second vehicle, didn't care for it and moved on to the third and drove it. We got no pressure from Lucy as we made our decision. We decided on the Prius and she was able to work out a great deal for us. We got almost what we asked for our trade-in, got the "special internet" price, got a new 12 volt battery for the Prius(as we were concerned about the age of it) and a second key for the car. We had planned on getting financing through our own credit union, but their finance department was able to get us very favorable financing. We still had money to move over to our account for money we wanted to put down, but they had us write a check to hold until Friday, and we walked out in 2 1/2 hours with a newly washed, gas tank filled, new (to us) car! If you go to Germain, expect friendly, polite, helpful, upfront and efficient help and we think, a fair deal! More

Being loyal customer of Germain when my Tundra lease was coming due I returned to Germain for help in getting another vechile. However this time I was going in to have a total hip replacement and I would no coming due I returned to Germain for help in getting another vechile. However this time I was going in to have a total hip replacement and I would not be able to get in and out of the Tundra. Also with the economy suffering we were forced to file bankrupty. After getting everything taken care of financially we then came back to Germain to find a car I could get in and out of with my hip. We decided on getting the Scion XB I did not like the color but I was assured many times by the sales person that in a year I could come back and get something I did like I believed this person because I trusted the name Germain. I have kept the Scion for 1 year and 2 months and only put on a little over 10,000.00 miles the car, it is still under warranty. In March of 2011 I came back to Germain to trade the Scion in on either a Corrolla or a Camary but with the understanding I was looking for possibly a 2010 model with low miles and try to lower my payments and get a better interest rate. Upon my arrival with my daughter Sare who was also looking for a car we were meet by Robert who reassured us both that he would be able to help us both no problem. Sara was working with Robert who came back after Sara decided on a car and said he would not be able to help her. At that point Robert had Marvin help me so I feeled out the paperwork and Marvin AGAIN assured he would be able to help me but he would give me a call at the beginning of the wee. My daughter and I left Germain sad that neither one of us could get a car. As the week went by I never got a call from Marvin, so on Thursday I called to see what the problem was and was told AGAIN that he was still working on it but now the cars he promised me were now all sold. So I waited again for a phone call and NO ONE called. This time when I called back to follow up with Marvin I was referred to Lucy Green. Lucy seemed to be in the dark so we started from the beginning and did all the information AGAIN. I waited for a call and this time I didn't wait for a call back I called Germain and Robert happened to answer the phone I told him who I was and Robert promised to get back with me in 30 minutes which he did to get MORE information then told me he would call be right back. I did NOT get a call back from Marvin or Robert but I did get a call from Lucy who delivered the news that Marvin could not fullfill what he said. I do not understand why neither one of these men could not pick up a phone and deliver the new themself. Instead put me off on another female to deliver the news. I have never been so disappointed in a dealship as I was for Germain. I was lied to from the very beginning when I bought the Scion and now I have a car I DO NOT like but since I believed in my dealership I'm stuck with this car. Lucy Green however was very professional and even though she knew she was not going to make a sale she put in the effort to call me back and let me know where I was on the Scion which I was very greatful and I would like to work with Lucy in the future when I hope I will be able to buy another car without tell me I need to put down $4000.00. I have one goal which is to buy a car I enjoy driving and is good on gas and the Scion is not for me. Germain should really find more people like Lucy Green who is truely and asset to your company and Marvin and Robert should be man enough to call and deliver the bad news themselves and not push your customers off on someone else. I love the Toyota's and would like to remain a loyal Toyota customer. If anyone who cares about the reputation of Germain and would like to contact me you should get my information from Lucy Green. Thank you for taking the time to read this if you did. More
