After arriving at the dealership, I explained that I was going to 3 specific dealerships to determine where we would be buying a specific vehicle this weekend. We did a test drive and obtained "cash out the going to 3 specific dealerships to determine where we would be buying a specific vehicle this weekend. We did a test drive and obtained "cash out the door" price, including trade in values. We left fully intending to go to the other 2 dealerships, but during a long lunch we discussed the good vibes we got from the dealership and your sales staff. Kudos to your dealership, for this is the first time in decades that we did not go to the other 2 dealerships before I made a decision on where to purchase, primarily due to the excellent service and non-pressure tactics by both Manny Carreras and MJ Foster. We would need to cash in on investments to purchase the vehicle, so we would either need to delay the purchase or use your financing temporarily until funds would be available. We called back after lunch and confirmed a second time that there is no prepayment penalty if we should finance today, so made an appointment to return later in the afternoon to finalize the purchase. It was a surprise to us that we found out during the signing process that "no penalty" prepayment was not really so. There is actually a $75 fee for prepayment. Because we found this out at the end of the process, we decided to finish out the purchase, but this little fee left a sour taste in our mouth as being disingenuous. This prepayment fee should have been made clear during the sales decision. More
